Should I buy Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 or wait for PC in December?

For anyone planning on playing the game that has tables which supports the RDR2 app, definitely don't forget to use it.
It's awesome for multiplayer that helps you see other players and when playing singple player you can have you entire hud disabled on the screen and use the app to see stats, the map, set waypoints, etc

Man, I'm still undecided about buying the game now but kinda wish I just bought the pre-order from rockstars store when they had the R250 discount special

Can anyone who has the game comment on performance? seen a few videos last night that had me worried about the optimization of this game.

for those who want to play pc version with 60 fps at 1080p to 1440p you need atleast a 1080ti , 1060s dont cut it has per nvidia

According to Nvidia :

Also as per usual there is Nvidia driver update.

As a note :
key mapping isn’t an option in the main menu, but once in game, you can find it.

I will try my 1080ti on full to see where I stand then scale down till I know what's best settings for my system that gives best quality and performance

Hopefully i can do 1440p on High settings with my 1080ti. Dont need Ultra settings. The video i seen had the 1080ti in the mid to high 40FPS mark and sometimes breaking into the 50s at 1440p ultra settings

Seems no sli support

that sucks, gta 5 had ok sli support.

I really wish games would start being able to use multi GPUs properly like they use multi core CPUs, it's the only way to get top perf for latest AAA games when they release, single GPUs are always limited

You all sitting with performance issues on rdr2 and here I am playing nfs heat on my crummy 1070ti on max settings with no 'major' issues :D

I think it's the cleansing of the horse's balls that is pushing new gen GPU's to the limit on RDR2. You don't have those demands on Heat.

I'm going to wait for the Steam release in Dec I think. Hopefully that comes in at a pre-order discount? Would be even better if it has some local pricing... which it won't.

Mines working fantastic on my setypy
Game looks beautifull and haven't had any of said crashes or issues thus far.

Have it on both PS4 and now PC. PS4 is super, PC is Awesome. If I have to choose, would definitely go for the PC version. Superb detail.

Games downloading at a pretty solid 11.83Mb/s, if anyone going to be playing online mode this week let me know

Yeah, the normal price is an even bigger slap in the face xD

How is this on a 1070 GPU. I know it's old but if it runs at 1080p 60fps that is perfect.

Should be fine. My son has a 1060 3GB card and he runs the game 1080p with all settings @medium and AA disabled.

You'll run medium to high, for some reason the game shows only the GPUs vram - 2GB available in game
But with allot of settings on high\ultra I'm only using 4-5GB at 4k

All maxed out was pulling 8GBs at 4k lol

That depends on what you want from the game and what platform ur friends are playing on if you want to play the online I'd probably go for console as it will have the bigger local community and less cheaters if you only planning on playing the SP then go PC that's if you have a pc to run it on high/max settings otherwise pickup a cheap PS4 copy.

To break it down:
PC Version - Get this if you want the best graphics experience
Take note GPU should be 1060 (Med 1080p 60fps) and up for great experience.
Xbox One X - Should be your second option due to being most powerful console
PS4 Pro - Third option unless you don't own an xbox one x or a PC capable.

Also go console if you cannot afford +/- R1000, don't intend to play online (If you do already have Xbox Game Pass/PS Plus then bonus for you) and still want to experience a really awesome game.

So far I am loving it on my PS4 Pro. PC would be awesome but I'll get it when it's cheaper.
