Item: Shelly Vintage A60 Wifi Filament Bulb
Age: 1 week
Price: R190 each or swap for other fun stuff I might use in the next year
Warranty: Imported from shelly.cloud and the local distributor should cover the warranty, but I'll do 1 month personal warranty
Packaging: Original
Condition: New, 3 were used for a few hours in total.
Location: Cape Town
Reason: Prefer Shelly Duo, more below
Shipping: Extra (light, but bulky)
Collection: Yes (meet-up also)
Link: Shelly Vintage A60
I imported these alongside a Shelly 3EM (shipping justifications and a few stale Euros). I thought I didn't really use the colour balance of the Duos, but I kind of missed it so put the Duos back in.
The filament look is nice, but even behind a lamp cover I like the diffused Duo a bit better. The Vintage feels and sounds like real glass, which is nice though.
The Duos were dimming in very erratic steps on firmware 1.9.0, enough to want me to try the Vintage instead. But, beta firmware 1.10 seems to have fixed that and even colour balance transition is now smooth.
Lastly, these do have a semi-fast flicker to them that is picked up a little from 120fps (but not at 60fps) phone camera recording. I don't notice it without the phone camera and their dimming transition is smooth.
