How do the sound of these compare to the HD598 or HD600?

Never had the HD598 or the HD600. But I can compared to the HD650.

More bass.
Vocals are more forward but still retains the classic Sennheiser sound profile. Smooth and relaxed.
I would say it's tuned for modern taste, Sennheiser sound with more "excitement".
