This was my set before! Apart from the cracks, that set is in excellent condition, scary for its age.

It has had the crack for quite a long time (It is a defect with the gen 1 HD598). I ended up plugging these in today again and I have decided I'm going to keep them rather. I have the Sennheiser Game One if you are interested in those? They are also open back and sound really good. Positional audio is excellent for gaming and they have the added bonus of a mic . just make sure you have decent sound card with them or amp. I had the exact pair and people dont realise these really need quite a bit of power to perform otherwise their bass is flat and they are lackluster.

Let's see if I can interest any of the gamers out there. I have a modmic v4 without mute (omni-directional I think based on sound quality) which I just got. I will sell it with the HD598 for a bundle price of R2000. It is in very good condition with the original carry case.

Hi, Yes it is. There is a smaller part which is stuck onto the grill and then the mic boom is held in place by a magnet.

I managed to get a 6.35 to 3.5mm adapter. Tested it and it is working perfectly. Bundle price still R2000
