Hi All
I am having a bit of difficulty. My board has 2 x m2 slots. I have my os installed on one m2 plugged into the first slot. But when I plug another m2 into the second slot to use for Game storage it gives me a error something about PCIE x 4 Mode.
Is there anyone else that has tried this? is it perhaps a setting in the bios? or can this not be done at all?
I am using a Asus B360-Pro Gaming Board. - TUF B360-PRO GAMING | Motherboards | ASUS Global

I have also used Photoshop2.0 to show in a circle where I am plugging into the secondary M2 and where my OS is installed.

Would appreciate any assistance, thanks

Are you plugging a SATA M.2 into the secondary slot, because it won't work if you are .

Your first M2 slot supports M2 sata ssd's and M2 nvme ssd's. Your second M2 slot only supports M2 nvme ssd's

Time for some CUD, you won't regret it

I will see if I can trade the m2 for a ssd. Just need it for my game files. Already have my os on a different m2

again, why not just swap the 2 around?

aesthetics?

use the 1st slot for the storage and 2nd for the OS

or am I missing something? oh wait, what drive is it you have for OS?

Yeah thats the problem, on the first slot I also have a normal m2 sata so wont work the other way around?

FYI - I checked now my first drive is a NVME m2 so I can switch the two around. Thanks all for the assistance. Helped a lot. (y)
