Deal Thread URL: [Wanted] - 80GB/120GB M.2 SSD Drive Urgently | Memory / RAM
Seller:
@TriNitro4
Buyer: @wynandvr
Description of Bad Deal: Shipped out the ssd via TCG to the buyer on the 1st of October, still haven't got the money for it.*

*After getting the delivery address on Sunday, the 29th of September we agreed that I was to send it out on the Monday, the 30th of September. On Monday I sent my bank details at 6am (in hindsight perhaps I should have sent it earlier). At 9:33 I sent a "Morning bud" message to which I get a reply of: "I'll EFT in 5min quickly, the courier will still make it for today?" For full transparency I said No I don't think they will make it for same day today (TBH I purposely didn't place the booking for it as yet as I was waiting for the POP since after 6am but this didnt end up as the main reason...): That very same morning I did a face to face transaction with another carbie (@StickySpaghetti) and he sent me a POP that didnt reflect at all (only until much later). As it was a face-to-face Sticky showed me the deduction from his bank app and I was happy with that (although naturally still a bit worried). The money also cleared later at about 3pm (which is a lot later than I used to, as Im usually lucky enough to get under 2hrs). After this experience I decided to give wynandvr the benefit of the doubt and since he said it was urgent I booked the shipping (well actually @Fox22743 assisted me) for the Tuesday. I also realised that I neglected to send wynand pics of the ssd (a bad habit Ive picked up after dealing with high level itraders who take my word and vice versa) so I sent the pics, including of the packaging and the TCG waybill. From experience I know my TCG driver collects from me just after 10am even if booked at 9:50am so I ask about the pop again. at 10:10 its collected from me with delivery at 16:02. The next day I ask for the pop again, because it didnt reflect. I get my first voice note now (bit weird as I alreadly know Im dealing with a real person) saying the client for the ssd is collecting in about an hour and he can do a Capitec to Capitec after that so it will reflect immediately (I use Capitec for Carbonite transactions). Next day I check up on it and he says he will install it for the client in the evening. 4 days later on the 7th I ask for progress on it. Second voicenote saying its been installed and hes on his way home and can then do the eft. 10th October at 7:30am I ask for a dealine of 10am. Next day voice note about reloading app. Now 17th Im making this thread.

For full transparency I replied to his wanted add because I had a 240GB m.2 sata lying on my shelf I was happy to let go for R300 as Hard Disk Sentinal said it was 5% health (although crystaldisk said 100% and running tests on it came back fine) and to be safe a friend didnt want it as a boot drive. I did tell wynand upfront about this and we agreed on my personal full cash back warranty of 14days if anything should go wrong with the drive (obviously I told him not for any potential lost data and his client should keep this in mind). I was initally going to keep the drive, buy an enclosure for it and use it as a storage drive but having also recently upgraded my main rig to an nvme I had the m.2 sata from that to use instead.

Long story short its been over 14 days since wynand received the drive and if its still working fine (also actual proof for the contrary) I would like the cash for it. I'll waiver the shipping fee so it would just be R300. If this is undiserable I can send a courier to collect the drive. If the drive is in use Ill consider a trade for whatever Wynand has of R300 value. However, if wynand doesnt like any of these options Ill be happy to end all this by just leaving a negative itrader for him. However, as he is currently a zero rep itrader I can only imagine the negative consequence of this. AND as this would ultimately serve to tarnish his reputation, which also violates the bad deals rules, I prefer to not resort to this option. As I mentioned to him over whatsapp I understand how frustrating it can be dealing with clients and that life in general is hard but I would appreciate a better excuse than everything is fine I just need to reload my app...

Kind regards

Tri

@wynandvr please state your side. You haven't been online since Monday but if you're not online here ASAP I'm going to ban your account permanently and get TriNitro4 to make a case of fraud at SAPS.

EDIT: @TriNitro4 please make him aware of this thread via WhatsApp or whatever.

Thanks for the heads up.
I really appreciate it.

@Toxxyc Thanks bud, was in the process of selling my drives to him and he's since ghosted on me (Not blocked me just hasn't replied since Monday)

I've got his cell number if it's needed? Not sure how much it'll help though.

Thanks again

He also contacted me a few times for stuff but thankfully none of the deals worked out....as in I didnt confirm any deal with him...Or didn't ship anything to him

so wait did i miss something here..

The seller with 80+ itraders under his belt sent a parcel first to the seller who has 0 itraders before receiving payment?

Yes, but there was an explicit agreement to purchase it before I shipped it out so it's still a case of fraud. Especially with the follow up messages...

If payment was to be made before sending the item then It's simple.

Money in account -> Send parcel.
Money not reflecting in account -> Do not send parcel.

Guys keep in mind this is still a Bad Deal thread, and the same rules apply.
