Hi... I was scammed about a month ago by a user called DPSteyn. .. he stole R2100 from me... any way I have his legit details not the fake details he gives... his name is frans van der walt... and he is from Danville pretoria.. plz help catch this son of a bit##. I've attached a pic with his real details.. I phoned his place of work and they confirmed that he was working as a truck driver at MacDonald's Transport and warehousing... also will it be possible to force a 3rd party payment option only and remove/block the EFT(scam option).. atleast 5 people are being scammed per month since December 2017 till just yesterday and nothing is being done... over 40 scams in half a year, that's near to R80000 stolen USING CARBONITE, and still no investigative action??? by the way, AFTER YOU BLOCK THE USER AFTER THEY HAVE SCAMMED SOMEONE, THEY CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT AND START THE SCAM OVER.... at the moment to me it looks like Carbonite is the biggest host of scam artists... I'm seeing scam after scam after scam .....

Please use a proper template to report a bad deal or a scam in your case.

We unfortunately are not police so we dont investigate scams, we can help with any info we might have but thats it.

Why wait a month to report this ? Also why havent you been to the police station with so much info in your hands about the person who scammed you ?

wait, so you were scammed out of your money because you felt it 'safe' to just transfer money without having any idea if the item(s) you were paying for were actually real?

and now Carb has to come up with a solution for you?

I'm new to online shopping, as you can see by my account, this guy spoke his mouth off and I fell for it, sorry for being gullable and listening to every real sounding voice note he sent me, and what about the other 50 people that were scammed, they all fell for it too... at the end of the day money is being stolen, probably even as we speak...I went to the police in my area, they told me I'd be wasting my time to open a case... so I left it... I'm reporting this a month later not in hopes of getting my money back, but in hopes to help prevent further scams.... you guys are no police, but should have some kind of investigative means

Well, his account has been permabanned for some time, what else do you expect Carbonite to do? I'm glad he's banned, he tried to sell me some RAM. Also, not everyone with low iTrader is a scammer people, some of us are just new.
