Deal Thread URL: [Sale] - Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 AMD Ryzen 7 | Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 - R9000 | Laptops
Seller:
@CiscoDisco
Buyer: @Wandering Ronin
Description of Bad Deal:

So, I will preface this thread by saying that I am still on the fence about whether or not to even post this bad deal. I am under an extreme amount of stress at work at the moment, so apologies if my grammar sucks or I sound incoherent. Anyways, here goes:

I contacted @CiscoDisco on the 1st of June. He responded on the 2nd stating that the laptop was on hold but wasn't fully sold yet. I asked him for pics via whatsapp and he sent me some pictures from Rtings( review site ). On the 3rd of June he contacted me on whatsapp, stating that the original buyer had sort of paid , but then withdrew from the deal. Both of these interactions set off red flags for me, but I chose to ignore them because even though he has low iTrader, he has received some pretty stellar feedback from some well known members.

After that, we chatted some more and I made the payment. I originally stated that I wanted the laptop shipped on Friday, but it was late so I compromised for Saturday. Saturday rolls around and long story short, it does not get sent off. Ok fine. I asked if he could send it off on Monday. Keep in mind that I originally told him I NEEDED it by WEDNESDAY. It is now Thursday. You can imagine where this is going. He never sent it off. I have been phoning him and his 'friend' non stop, phoning the courier guy non stop, phoning their drivers non stop.
Every time the driver gets to the address that was given to TCG, it either "does not exist" (TCG driver manager in Joburgs own words) or the seller and his friend do not pick up. I have tried and tried to no avail. The courier even left then returned an hour later when the seller's mate was supposedly home, only to find no one there.

To summarize:
Seller told me the parcel would be collected on Monday already, it is now Thursday and I keep getting excuses, and the communication from their side is less than stellar. As I have already said: I needed the laptop on Wednesday already and I made this very very apparent to everyone involved.

I have all the whatsapp chats, phone numbers, emails, names(Bheki Nkomo) and addresses.

I still don't want to believe this is a scam because @CiscoDisco seems like a genuinely nice guy, but I do think his mate is trying to pull something.
I genuinely don't know what else to do.

EDIT:It has been confirmed, I am probably not getting the laptop. If anyone else has some more info , please let me know.

Edit 2: I have been made aware of the fact that multiple people might have been scammed.

I was scammed for the same laptop, from the same person @CiscoDisco . He is also giving me the same story that his so called mate (Bheki Nkomo) has gone AWOL.

I am trying to get this sorted, will revert tomorrow with an update once I have the facts straight and still trying to exhaust all options that I can to get this resolved. I have been keeping comms with all the buyers privately, so they do know where I stand and what's currently going on for now.

Thank you
