Description of Bad Deal:
I recently agreed on buying a second hand Samsung curved monitor to a guy that replied on my add “wanting monitor”. He lives in Bloemfontein (as he said and even said i can come pick it up if i want to) and I live in Nelspruit. He claims is name is Victor Bruford and i searched him on truecaller and it even says Vic. I searched his name on social media and couldnt find him. We agreed on a amount and we used Aramex courier services to send the parcel. I sent him the amount and he said he "sent" the parcel I even received a faked message that he generated from the courier company Aramex to get me off his back about the tracking number that i requested. I asked him over and over to send me the waybill/tracking number just to track the screen and he kept making up excuses. After that I told him that if he does not send it to me right at the moment I will have to take action against him and he blocked me on WhatsApp. He always replied with voice notes making him seem alot more trustworthy.

I asked a friend of mine just to talk to him and the chat went as follows:

friend: Hi to whom am i speaking to?
scammer: Hi who are you looking for my name is James.

I went to MTN and they cant even track his number. He created fake aliases to sign up for Carbonite as well as a fake work emial adress (victorbrufordrow@gmail.com) (victor@cyberedge.co.za)

I have no idea how many people he has scammed but he definitely knows what he is doing.

Please look out for this number 071 071 2660.

He has a profile pic of a mother and her baby. Did an image search on it and couldn't find anything.

Yep, as per your other thread, we banned him already. Go to the police and make a case of theft against him. Also block his number on TrueCaller and mark it as "Scammer".
