Hi all togs!
So we are in the process of leaving this beautiful land of ours for a change of scenery. I have two kits and can't decide what to keep and what to sell.
I mean with the amount of shooting I am doing (virtually nothing) these days, I might as well sell all and save up on the other side and get shiny new toys.

But if I had to keep one, which do you think I should keep?

Canon kit:
600D Body (decent condition)
1x battery and charger
50mm 1.4 Ultrasonic
MP-E 65mm Macro (One of the most difficult macro lenses to use ever, only does macro, can't take "normal" images)

Olympus kit:
EM-5 (The first one, starting to have some shutter issues when I haven't used it in a while, I should probably have it serviced)
2x batteries and a charger
Panasonic 45mm DG Macro Elimarit (Very easy macro lens, great for portraits too)
Olympus 12-50mm 3.5-6.3 EZ
Olympus 9mm 8.0 Fisheye (fixed aperture, 3 levels of focus, manual, no electronics)
Two-piece grip, so can just bulk up the body a bit with the first piece or make it very bulky with additional vertical controls and a battery compartment with the second piece.
I also have a Voeloon V760 (for cannon) Speedlight

What are your thoughts?

I would keep the Canon kit. Have a MPE myself, value keeps on going up, and awesome lens to use.
Maybe add a lens or two. 70-200 good starting point. F4 L if u can afford.
Do u have twin flashes forthat mpe?

I had some other lenses but my dad has taken them over since I mainly do macro.
I use the controller in the body to trigger the voeloon remotely. I do not have the twin macro flash unfortunately. Money has been tight for most of my life.

That MPE really shines with a proper diffused Twin flash setup. Don,t think you would get the best out of it with a speedlight (even if you use a funnel or tube to bounce the light)
Send me a link, would like to see some of your macro shots with the mpe.

I have been meaning to get a macro slider, but again money went to other things, over the years I have gotten rather good at hand-holding that thing and shooting live specimens, I usually diffuse and bounce the flash with an on-flash diffuser and bounce off walls, pieces of paper, etc.
Again, if I had the income, I would be running a much more advanced kit, but living, PC's, education and a good load of bad decisions has not enabled me to drop money on this hobby.
It has forced me to become really creative with what I have at my disposal.

I'd love to see some of your shots with it too.

Not a lot on Insta.
And like usual, unless u have a nice calibrated monitor, facebook breaks detail in the images.
I also don,t use a slider. That things take too much time. I like the "in the wild" insect shots, handheld.
Why don,t you check out the Iowa Twin flashes. A LOT cheaper than Canon, and awesome if you look after them. I like the twins as they can bounce off the bg, while also giving me a choice between front or side lighting with fast insects, spiders and the like.
Will have a look at your shots when I get home. My work pc screen is horrible.
