Hi everyone. I received this from a courier company and after telling them that I didn't order a new device, they told me that it was a gift from someone that wants to stay anonymous. Weird right?

I have no need for this device and have decided to convert it into cash to help with the expansion of our business. I opened the box to confirm that it was indeed a phone and not anthrax. Low and behold it's a new phantom black S21 + 5G (Dual sim) smart phone. Please pm me if you're interested. I'll post some pictures on request.

Hi bud,

I think you mean R13000 not R130000 right?

Hi there. Yes I meant R13000. My apologies.

Maybe it's bugged and they want info from you 🤣. That is awesome though, funny how the world is, my phone was snatched on Tuesday from a smash and grab and someone is sending a new phone anonymously to someone else, wtf 🤷‍♂️

How will the warranty work without proof of purchase?

I'm not sure. Maybe another member has experience with this?
As far as I know the manufacturer does not need a POP, they scan the phone or run the serial number on their system and know if it is still within warranty period. And warranty is transferable to the next owner, provided that the conditions that prevailed at the time of purchase are met. There are warranty exclusions as you know such as water damage, tempering, reported stolen etc, but everything being in order, the manufacturer will fix the phone regardless of who brings it in or whether they have POP. I've taken in phones I didn't buy myself and Huawei and Apple fixed them because they still met the criteria...

i know with Apple you can get away with no POP but im pretty sure for Samsung you need proof of purchase

I've had a screen replacement done under warranty with them and they didn't need the POP even though I had it, must be a new requirement.
