Samsung 5.1 Speakers. Please Read

My parents had this Samsung 5.1 Blu Ray Surround Sound System set, but their house was struck by lightning. The set stopped working, they gave it to me to see if I can salvage it with no luck. My guess is that the blu ray player itself was destroyed and that the speakers actually still work but I can't prove this. I know the blu ray player was completely dead and this is what controlled the speakers obviously. I took the player in for repairs and it turned out it needed a part that was more expensive than the player itself and said screw it. I just left it at the shop, so I am still sitting with the speakers with no way to use them. My hope is that someone here can at least get some use out of them. Someone with a bit more savvy than myself.

should work on a other amp, as the blu ray had a built in amp, most of the bluray platers has built in amps

Will let speakers go to the first person that can collect from me in Pretoria, unfortunately can't take the speakers anywhere as I ride a bike.
