Hi guys, hope everyones having a good weekend. I'm currently studying a bachelor of commerce in accounting, going down the CA route and I just recently got married and working as well so life is pretty hectic but Im trying to be organised in advance. I will be starting to look for a good articles contract soon and I just wanted to get an idea of how much most firms will offer you in each of the big cities(Durban, CT,JHB) as I will need to start planning my expenses and budgeting for rent for the vrou and I.
Thanks guys

At the moment, I've seen the smaller companies offer as low as 18k before tax... the bigger firms offer a bit more, after your board exams the salary increase is dramatic... I'd suggest you focus on your studies tho xD that shit ain't easy at all mate... all the best

I work a lot in recruitment, and am currently looking for young CA's for a big company now. CA salaries do depend on a bit, if you are coming out of the big 4, you can expect anything between R30 to R50k.

3 years post articles experience, you could be earning over R65k per month.

I do fully understand that this all depends though. Some companies will definitely try to get more for less.

Thanks for the replies guys, I only noticed them now.
