Good day,

I read an articale about thermal issues with the ROG Strix RX 5700 series having thermal issues.

No idea where the local ASUS repair center is?
I'm based in Centurion

Regards,

Chris

I dont really have that issue. BF5 crashes from time to time but thats apparently a drive issue.

This issue is to do with the screws not being the correct mounting pressure

Asus SA uses Rectron and Mustek as their technical repair service centres.

Your closest bet is Mustek or Rectron in Midrand.
Asus SA Head office might be located in Fourways yes, but they are not a walk in for technical services unfortunately. You can call them or do an online live chat with an agent and query your options to find out.

Did anyone here send their card to get the screws replaced? Purchased the Strix 5700XT on Black Friday last year and the serial number matches the one stated in the link which Mielie26 posted.

I emailed Mustek and received the following response:

"Good day,

ASUS will assess each case on merits and test the card for failures. As not all items are affected by this notice that they issued, the unit will need to be booked-in at a Mustek Service Centre and we will log a case with the suppliers.

Kind regards"

Did you also get it from Evetech? I'd rather sit with a overheating card than send it to Mustek. Luckily it seems to be behaving itself. Suppose if it gives you problems then send it in?

Yep also picked it up from Evetech. I actually emailed them first and then they referred me to Mustek. My temps are fine at the moment but I'm wondering if there's a certain window in which we have to send the cards in.
