So I got round to fitting this last night. Here's some pics.

Get your shit together. You need the smallest socket known to man. 4mm.

Remove what seemed like a hundred of the world's smallest screws and set the stock backplate free.

Remove that silly 2 slot bracket.

Next step is to grab that 4mm socket and remove all of them attaching the stock cooler.

Bingo. Pulling the stock cooler off the PCB is a bit scary. Man up.

Next set of tools. Ear buds, make up things you can steal from your missus and a can of my good friend electronic cleaner.

Stock paste was OK...

Shiny. Don't forget to clean the vrms etc as we want our new thermal pads to stick nicely.

Apply thermal pads with the utmost ocd.

Curse as you have to peel off all the blue backings. I hate this part.

Grab your TIM of choice, this is mine. Do the thing.

Add one sexy block.

Add one slimming bracket.

Grab your back plate and apply more thermal pads.

Attach said back plate.

You have successfully installed your 1080ti block. Have a victory beverage.

Toobs.

Leak test and bleeding.

It's alive! Haven't seen above 40 degrees on the GPU.

Always a shame that the prettiest part is showing downwards. Hate that so much

You may not always see him, and this is his super power, but he is always watching...

Soooo, once again im going to tear this build down. This time i plan on redoing the loop routing, want to try a parallel setup for a bit, i think it could look a lot cleaner than it does currently. Ill take pics of the process as always but if anyone wants any pics of something in particular let me know.

Seems like ppl always have issues with their routing options of the piping. Hoping to have my watercooling fittings in the next month then I will also play around with the angles.

So I'm bad at maths and was two fittings short of doing the parallel setup. next time. In the meantime I put in a 120 rad in the rear to tame the ti, puts out more heat than the previous 1080 by quite a bit. Temps have dropped a decent amount, loop is happy again also I somehow feel better by having at least some rad between components even though I know it really makes little difference.
