Both chairs had scratches on same spot? Personal question, but only because I'm interested. What was the person's weight that used that chair?

Yes, exactly the same result.. I've used the chair, I'm around 80 KGs.

The issue is not the weight of the person, but rather the chair arm rests, I adjust them to be the same height of the table, if I then sit in the chair, my weight lowers the chair slightly so that the arm rests now fit snug under the table while using it. If I get off the chair and push it under the table, it then re-seats itself back to its original setting (which is table height), which ends up squashing itself up against the bottom of the table. When I pull the chair out from table, the pressure being pushed up against the bottom of the table has caused the damage on the arm rests. My own stupidity..

I 90% of the time readjust the chair, to be lower than the table after I'm dont using it.. so this damage is from those few times I've forgotten
