Hi Guys
So was hoping to get some advice on what the hell is going on here. I recently did some renovations at home and subsequently moved my entire setup.
So it first started with my new headsets (Sennheiser GSP 370) wireless headphones where i was getting horrible crackling and pops which i chalked up to wireless interference from somewhere but still wasnt too sure as i previously had a wireless router right next to my pc and had 0 interference and they ran great.
Fast forward to last night and im switching off the lights and locking up. I go to turn off my ceiling fan and i notice my glorious model O RGB switch on for a few seconds and then off again. It is connected to the USB ports at the back of my pc. I find it strange so i switch the fan on and off again a few times and every time as im turning the fans off the Model O RGB switches on again for a few seconds which means power is going through my USB ports. On one instance it turned on when i switched the fan on.
I have little to no experience in terms of electrical does anyone know what the hell is going on here? By the way i am connected via a 2 metre extension cable as the outlet is too far and they are 2 surge protectors ( 1 dedicated on the outlet and a tiny 1 thats built into the powerbrick where all my components plug into).
Is this dangerous for my pc and whats causing the horrible crackle on pops on my headies.
