I just want to know if this is cross-platform progression. Dont feel like starting fresh considering I made decent progress on Xbox

Guessing the same will apply for PC since game release you could not transfer SP progress.

this means that players on Xbox One can not play with Playstation 4 players in RDR2 Online. This also applies to progression for the single player campaign

Yeah I didn't do to much on abox got to level 44 on online, would be nice to get that character over to PC.

Whose planning on buying the game to play online, perhaps we can all join a carbonite posse, Seven people playing together is allot of fun.

This is the price these days for AAA releases across all platforms :(

That is the truth, maybe I have a different perspective as I own it on XBOX already. That being said I can't remember when last I paid a premium price for a AAA title. I'll just wait it out.

Games are so Stale these days buying it at launch is not worth it. Right now Cyberpunk in the only game i have been excited for since i dont know how long

Man I am excited for this but with less than a week to go we still have not seen actual gameplay on PC. Just a "gameplay trailer"?

Also whats the point of waiting for it to release on steam if steam will in anyway just open the rockstar launcher to launch the game when you open it from steam?

Rockstar store is currently offering a free game with the purchase of Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC.

Well if you want to stream it to your TV via the steam app then steam is important

I wonder when they will allow for pre-installation - as its like 150GB on disk so Id imagine its like an 80GB download....

Hopefully its a few days before

yeah I guess.. Didnt think people really made use of it.

I'm not a massive Rockstar fan. I enjoyed their GTA games and I have almost all of them. I never bought them when they were first released and RDR2 will be no different for me. I'll play it a year or so from now and still enjoy it.

I can confirm that the new launcher seems great compared to the old one. I managed to redownload the whole of GTA V in one night and that's 80GB.
Although on release the servers may take strain.

The old launcher was an A-grade POS. Worth buying it on the new launcher..? I’m thinking of waiting for the Dec drop to avoid Rockstar’s launcher.

Aren't you stuck with the Rockstar launcher regardless ? Steam calls all the third party launchers regardless. So you have to log into Steam and the launcher.

I'll prob just buy it off R*.

Mmm fair comment... will RDR2 have a Steam Workshop? Edit: Seems it won't same as GTA5, Steam will just call the Rockstar launcher as you suggested.
