RAIN LTE - Dual SIM LTE Router?

So with b315 and b618

Could i run a sim card in each router. Using the b315 as my main due to it has more lan ports. Then i plug the 618 into the 315 via the wan port. Would the 315 detect and use both sim and wired connection together?

Not sure on this but i can test this tonight. Ive got a b525 and b315. I run with static ip's and just have a profiles set up in linux for my pc and my phone i just switch.

Ive got a mikrotik router but just havent made time to set it up xD.

So far i havent found any options on the wan port in the router os. So not exactly sure how it works guessing its maybe plug and play. Ill play with it a bit more and see what i can find.

keep up posted about what you find, im quite interested,if it works then i can put the rain in the 618 and my main network in the 315

2 Routers into it.
Crikey, the intial outlay for this is insane just to get a load balanced solution. Wonder if I could achieve the same on a Mikrotik hAP. Doubt it would be as solid but it should still work?

Lol, I'm impressed my guide made it over here too :D

To answer the question on why not the Mikrotek AP, I couldn't find that at the time but would certainly have been an option as it would have combined my need for a wireless ap.

Regarding the TP Link load balancer, its only 100Mb ports to my knowledge. I'm swopping out one of the b315's for a B525 as my telkom contract ended and I took up a month to month with Webafrica for the night hours. Solution still working well and has even dropped in price, current monthly cost is R250+R249 = R 499pm and my speeds are still decent, way better than similar priced fibre or copper.

Also looking for something similar but for use with telkom dsl and rain lte with a schedule for when what should be active

This can be done with the microtik routerboard. this is a very good product and allows you to set load balancing on the lines.
