Good day all,

I did not have much luck with FNB. I know I must just go to a branch but in my town you stand for literal hours, which I just do not have. But for now, can I ask if this is what people do on here or did I misunderstand?

It seems people sell their Paypal USD to someone for ZAR to be transferred into their South African Bank accounts?

Is this a thing? Because I would like to do that, post maybe once a month or so my USD for sale - was just wondering if this is safe.

And legal lol

Thanks

It is safe when done through a bank when there are authority checks throughout.

Open an FNB global account.

Just link your paypal acc on FNB, there are many guides online as to how.
I've used it a couple of times, but they take like 3%, and it takes about 5 days before it's in your account.

I've since switched over to using @uwais , you get a bit less, but the money is in your account instantly, which to me is worth the tradeoff.

At the moment, FNB is the only South African bank which links to Paypal. It takes me two and a half to three working days to receive the money in my FNB Gold Cheque Account. FNB charges a 1.5% fee, which isn't that much at all.
