I've always dreamed of building a custom water cooling loop, just for how cool it looks. So when we went into lockdown I had some time on my hands and decided to build a loop with parts sourced from Carbonite. It was great dealing with a bunch of carbies who I tagged below, you guys really made this possible. My current build was in a Fractal Design Define 7 case with a white interior, so I thought I'd stick with the black and white stormtrooper look. And the name White Carbonite because it's mainly built with parts sourced from here.

PC components:
  • Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 3000MHz 8GB x 2
  • GPU: ASUS ROG Strix 1070 O8G Gaming (thanks @R3nr3w)
  • Storage: Hikvision E2000 512GB M.2 + Seagate 2TB x 2 (RAID 0)
  • Case: Fractal Design Define 7 black & white with clear TG
  • Fans: CoolerMaster SILENCIO FP 120 x 6 (thanks @Dom)
  • Power Supply: Corsair RM650 (thanks @clmartin1314)
  • Monitor: Acer Predator XB1 24" 144Hz (thanks @clmartin1314)
Watercooling:
  • CPU block: XSPC RayStorm Pro (thanks @Dom)
  • GPU block: Pacific V-GTX 10 (thanks @Slegmoer)
  • Radiators: EK-CoolStream Classic SE 240 (thanks @Slegmoer) and Hardware Labs Black Ice Nemesis 240GTS (thanks @Borrie)
  • Reservoir: EK-RES X3 150 (thanks @5plus2equals9)
  • Pump: EK-XTOP Revo D5 PWM (thanks @pseudomeaningful)
  • Tubes & fittings: 14mm PETG white, Bykski Anti Slip, other Bykski fittings (thanks @CecilRobson)

It just needs a couple of finishing touches, will post some pics here later today.

It is done. Here are some pics, will also put up a timelapse video of the build for anyone interested.

I still want to change the leds on the cpu block and get proper custom cables (especially that white pump pwm connector top right)
