The card should still be under warranty.
So get in touch with the seller, explain the situation and get the card rma'd.

You’ll need to find out who supplied the card and then send it to them.

I’d suggest you contact the seller ASAP, as above, and ask them where it came from.

Also check on the EVGA website as to if it’s in warranty - if it is, just go straight to them and RMA it through them. They do offer that. You may need to ship it to them in the USA though.

how sure are we that it is the GPU ? and not my CPU ?? is there any more tests I can run to compare... the RMA is in German and supplier is in Capetown...so before I send it all the way there is there any more test I can do to make sure it is the GPU 100%

We can’t be sure but the evidence given before us suggests that it is likely the GPU.

Send it to be fixed with a detailed report of all your testing, including screen shots.

If they replicate the problem their side, it’s as good as sorted, otherwise, you get it back and you’re down maybe R400 in shipping expenses, knowing that the card is ok.

Go from there and start looking at other solutions but my money is on the GPU at fault.

UserBenchmark: FPS Estimates PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, GTX 1080-Ti (PUBG)

You should be getting about 90fps average according to the 3 benchmarks submitted for this CPU & GPU combo.

To check what's bottlenecking download MSI afterburner and install rivatuner with it. In settings go to monitor tab, and select GPU and CPU usage to show in OSD. This will overlay the % use of each while you are playing. If CPU is at 100% usage that shows that the bottleneck is at the CPU.

I honestly feel like the card is fine. I reckon it's just a huge bottleneck with that cpu.
Depending on settings ect, at 1080P you could have a bottleneck as high as 35%.

Your stuck in this weird place where you'll have to max the games completely to get rid of most of the bottleneck and then your fps will "seem" low because you're maxing the game.

Where are you based?

Yeah RockinIT prices are really competitive, just a pity I only need a CPU,MB and RAM all of which are ridiculously priced brand new
To be fair I think you might need a new PSU too, at least if that's the one you've had since you got the 3rd gen system.
