haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i am so fed up.

In early january i starting getting this weird stutter/jitter issue. followed by complete freezing for a few seconds and AMD driver crashes

Specs at the time were
Ryzen 1600
Asus b350-f
2x 8gb 2400mhz adata ram
Aorus Rx580 8gb
Thermaltake toughpower 850w
1x 128gb ssd
1x 256gb ssd
1x 1tb storage

I tried absolutely everything i could find on google, windows updates, driver updates, disabling things, enabling things etc with no luck.

So,
then shortly after i had the asus b350 and Rx580 rma'd via Rebeltech
and i replaced a whole bucket load of stuff, so my specs are now:
Ryzen 1600
New Aorus b450 pro
New 2x 8gb 2400 Gskill Flarex
New Aorus Rx580 8gb
New 500gb ssd
Thermaltake toughpower 850w
1x 1tb storage

I have formated multiple times, and still the issue is persisting, I play csgo competitively and my computer freezes in such critical moments.

WHAT THE FLIP FIRE AND CHEESE IS WRONG???

What case do you have?
I suffered similar issues + Bsods while my side panel was on due to overheating of the cpu.
So you can try that, alternatively try a different cooler.

Have a cougar MX 330-G with a Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID ML120L + Extra 120L fan in push pull.
and 4 Corsair AF120s for intake and extract

Temps rarely go over 55°

:(

Try a different PSU. It aeems the only thing that os common between the two

Uninstall RGB fusion that you installed with the Aurus graphic card app.

Open task manager while playing and see how RGB fusion spikes to 100% cpu usage.

So CPU is the only thing you didn't replace? Monitor the cpu while gaming

So you got a new Rx580?

That PSU could be the issue

The constants are

Ryzen 1600
Thermaltake toughpower 850w Gold rated (only about a year old)
WD Black 1tb (quite old, like 7 years i think, but 100% health)

Uninstall RGB fusion that you installed with the Aurus graphic card app.

Open task manager while playing and see how RGB fusion spikes to 100% cpu usage.

I will try this, but the issue happened before i installed that, and Monitoring software shows absolutely nothing spiking during these freezes

Check and monitor the clock speeds of both CPU and GPU and see what happens to them when that stutter/jitter occurs. Also check event viewer cross referencing to the exact time the stutter/jitter happened to see if theres maybe something there that will point you in the right direction.

Really thinking outa the box here but try a different mouse. (specifically one from a different company)

Im going with this.. Sounds like you have some Software that might be causing this..

Do you us afterburner? or anything like that?

Tt PSUs are on my list of do not use. I've had one pop and I know someone who had pretty fancy looking fully modular Tt that would just blow motherboards

Would like to see the event viewer report of the time you are getting BSOD, jitter/stuttering. Also what windows 10 version 1803? 1809?

PSU can quite easily be tested with a multi meter.

Now, I've been having this issue and also tried everything darn thing Google could throw at me, disable all overclocks/ xmp, afterburner. Underclock everything, run scf scannow, fresh installs. Change power settings and the list goes on and on! Even got 2 clean bills of health on my psu after I thought it was only that that still could be wrong.

So I started retracing my steps, problem started when I upgraded to my GTX 1080 and thought heck I've got a nice powerful GPU let's enable DSR factors.

So Monday night for some reason I turned off DSR, and bam, no more restarts up till today.

So I think Radeon has this in the form of VSR. I don't know how it work or how to deactivate it but just something for you to check as there's a bug in windows where if you use this dynamic/virtual resolution it causes some ram leakage or something.

Really hopes this helps you in some way.

Thanks ill definitely check this vsr out. And i will also get some event viewer reports if it continues after that.

After doing some more googling seems mouse/mouse drivers can cause this so ill follow up on that aswell.

AMD there's your problem ;)
Clearly you have now clue my brother.... I've been running a Ryzen 7 1700 and Ryzen 7 2700X the past two years or so without and issue. So AMD is not the problem, but unfortunately with Intel being the "BEST" all software is programmed to take advantage of their ability and AMD fall by the way side. In this case, I prefer AMD as at least I know that at some point they'll wake up. With Ryzen 2 coming Intel might be in for a world of hurt....... maybe.

I doubt it's this but try turning off ReLive in the AMD driver.
Also try booting the system without that 1TB drive, just to eliminate it as a constant.
Will leave you with CPU and PSU or software as the possible culprit.

Check your ram usage. I had a stutter issue in rust but had chrome and brave open so had like 1 gig free of ram and was causing the stutters.

Also tt psu I avoid them now days. Seasonic corsair evga

Was the hard drive. Even though hd sentinel said it was 100%, after disconnecting the 1tb i havent a single freeze for 2 weeks

Was more tongue in cheek but my experience with AMD graphics cards has been less than stellar.

I am with you regarding AMD graphics... Cpu though is another story.

It's possible it was a windows 10 issue then.

I forgot the exact details but theirs a legacy setting to access hdds that used to mess up my system in gaming where I'd get system freezes and sometimes a buzzing sound.

EDIT: I remember now. its the new way to access that messes up so I went back to the legacy method.

You need to change the driver for this.
Just checked and the faulty one is the Intel one: iaStorA.sys.
Basically, update the driver manually and chose the other option.

//can't upload the screenshot with the faulty one so here's a link:

Thanks this makes sense ill definitely give this a shot. The issue seemed to occur on win10 after updates from a fresh install, but couldn't replicate a pattern.
