Pubg is the best and worst game ever. If you haven't played it before though its pretty rough to start. Lotsa training range and just grinding it out is the only way to get better.

We also have a great local competitive scene when you get good enough

Pubg is not a pick up and win shooter.
It requires actual dedication and practice to get good at it.

I have a love hate relationship with it. I was once fully dedicated to it, managed to grind out 2 seasons in a row, once the dust was settled we managed to get into the top 300 for duo's (Not a massive achievement but it was awesome for me). We played on a daily basis, for at least 3 or 4 hours a day, even longer on weekends. Eventually ended up with a K/D around 3.0 over the course of a 100 rounds with around 20 wins and 60% top 10 placements.

Then the hackers arrived in EU and it ruined the game for me. My duo partner stopped playing and I was left by myself (Mainly jammed Duo).
I stopped playing about a month after that. Still followed the game and the scene but never played again. Then over the last few weeks, I started to jam again with a good friend, been having a tough time but it's been fun. I realized this morning, that if I wanted to get back to that top 300 position it would take another 2 months of dedicated play (I'm not a natural god, I actually have to play a LOT to get good) and I'm not sure I'm ready for that.

As someone that's been a gamer most of my life, there has never been a game that makes you feel like this game does when you pull off a great win. Even a low kill win, where you struggled against the odds and then manage to pull it off. That feeling just never gets old. We had a win yesterday that was an absolute joke, we messed about for 10min with literally no gear (Miscommunication about a bathroom break), managed to make our way to the last couple of zones, got a single kill and won the game...We laughed and it still felt great..lol

There is no other game like it.

Well got my money back, don't have any partners to play it with and the absolute silence was annoying not to mention been alive for so long then finally getting walked over ha ha. I got 4 kills but didn't feel that special to me.

The squad I was randomly joined to seemed to be nice, I found a vehicle in a built up area of which I let them all hop in but the rear two were shot immediately and the passenger died a few seconds after that as for myself I was shot leaving the scene.

I can't stand poorly made games and it still feels buggy in all honesty. I know many love it so I'm not bad mouthing it, I'm just saying it's not for me. Not sure why I got 4 kills if you can't just pick it up and be good at it because it has similar mechanics to all Battle Royale games.

Watch Viva La Dirt League they were the reason I decided to give it another shot. DrDisRespect makes it look a lot more fun as well.

Congrats on been the top 300, that really is impressive keep it up you should stream it

Should Def buy it. It's unlike any other game out there. Now days the fps and networking is solid, they also just released an update which added a bunch of cool things.

If you are coming from mobile emulator on pc to the actual pc version... You're going to have a rough time... Like many others say... I love and hate this game... Still a lot of hackers everywhere. I haven't played it in months though... i'm kind of over dying for 4 hours straight.

Mobile version is flooded with hackers, I had a recent game, hacker in m squad, we got wiped by another squad, also hackers, that squad got wiped by another guy, who was also hacking. Kinda hard to have fun playing fair when so many others are not.

Mobile version is actually quite fun. Once you are higher level you dont play against bots anymore. Nice way to kill time and it's easier than pc version. I see COD also went mobile now. The graphics look insane for mobile gaming. Pretty sure one of there years we will just plug our phones into port replicators and play +60fps

Ye but none of them have the same sort of strategy needed to try predict opponents and play circles, all other BR's are just fighting and then running to the next fight.

I get you. I actually got pubg because of pubg mobile... (there was such a hype around it) I guess it comes down to what people have access to. I don't play much n my phone either. 99% of anything on the appstores are garbage. But when I'm bored and need to kill 30mins on a subway ride it does the job. Also credit to Tencent and what they have done with these Mobile shooters.

Anyone else experiencing lag spikes while playing?
My ping sits at 180ms and then every 10 seconds or so I get packet loss and a spike in ping. Its becoming unplayable.
This has only been happening since Afrihost was hit with the Ddos attack. Afrihost/Vuma 20/20.

Must say, it is a disadvantage playing with a 150ms ping and every now and again packet-loss, but the game mechanics are great and they have confirmed that they will be porting it to Unreal Engine 5 in the 2024/5 Developer Roadmap.
