How Green was my Valley
by Ohan Smit, on Flickr

I will never forget this particular caption at The Oaks Estate in Greyton. I had decided to run up a hill to see if there was a potential shot...

So I got up there, and yes there was a shot. Then I had to get my gear, which I left down the hill with my friend.

Anyone that has taken pictures at this estate would know how Hilly this place can be.

So after huffing and puffing my way up the hill for the second time I setup my gear and quickly grabbed a few steaks, erm, I meant shots...

Moo!

Nikon D800, Nikkor 24-70 at 70mm an aperture of f/5.6, 0.4 seconds of exposure shot at ISO 100.

So here is a pic or two I took using the Note 8, I know its not pics of nature or so, but just wanted to show off the beautiful pics it can take. I have never taken so many photos with a phone before....

I'm sure there are a few photographers here, so I'm starting this thread for you to show off your shots. Please include details such as camera body, lens, aperture, shutter speed and ISO. If you did any post processing, mention that as well. If you don't know any of the details, leave them out :)

Please scale pictures down to a maximum width of 1280px.

Ahem.

Thanks..this is one of the many stray cats in Istanbul. They are loved and cared for by the locals.

There's a documentary about the cats in Istanbul and how the locals care for them. Called Kedi, very fascinating.

I wanted to capture the sun's rays shining through the clouds after a massive rain storm close to Witbank on the N12. But unfortunately my Huawei Mate 7's camera is a bit of a potato, and I am not the world's greatest photographer to boot.

I added another couple photos taken with the Huawei Potato 7

The five cell trajectory
by Ohan Smit, on Flickr

I am a tad late to the lightning party, but I'm sure I will provide some entertainment. . .

Taken on the outskirts of Durvbanville, where it could be deemed "safe"...

Pointing my camera towards Uitzicht and Pinehurst to the left, a series of bolts exposed themselves .

This is the first of a series of photos from the 13th of February's legendary lightning show.

I have a special surprise up my sleeve, which I will expose in due time, all I can say is it is rather shocking . . .

Nikon D800, Nikkor 24-70mm at
70mm an aperture of f/8 shot with two 30 second exposures at ISO 200.
