Wife is looking for a lens hood for a Canon 500D. Not sure what specs you need, or if they are different per lens. But do you have some of those? Let's say for the kit lens.

They are different for each lens hey, so you are either looking for a 58mm lens hood for the standard lens. Canon calls it the Canon EW63C lenshood.
If your wife does thave the zoom lens which is the 55-200 lens,I do have a lens hood available for that lens. The part number is called ET54
