I feel like we at least need a hardware teaser image!

This has the same effect as the PR and Advertising had for NMS before it's release...
It should be illegal to do this

Oi, we have all been subjected to + the subject of false advertising/PR - imagine how hyped our parents were before birth & how disappointed they are now.

Speak for yourself, I am a fucking delight, my parents love me :p

Hi there fellow Carbies,

Hope everyone's been well.

I know it's been a LONG time since I've attended to uploading my personal build log, I'll try to make sure there are more regular updates. :)

Let's start with build spec:

Intel Core i7 6900K
ASUS ROG Rampage V Extreme U3.1
Thermaltake 64GB (8x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz - included waterblocks
ASUS ROG STRIX RTX2080 8GB OC
Muskin 1TB Pilot NVMe SSD
FSP 1200W PSU - integrated Bistpower waterblock

All components will be under hard-line cooling.

Chassis (Silverstone TJ-07) will have custom paint work done, below is a sample of the colour:

As I'm getting close to finishing the updates on my CNC, I'll also be working on a few custom pieces out of aluminum and distro plate.

I'll add designs on these parts as we go.

For the basement plate, I've got some crystals on the way from China, which will be crushed and infused with resin and forged carbon fiber to have a unique finish.

Below are the crystals that are on the way:

Shiny!

A long overdue update on my personal build.

Managed to get myself a Bykski 480mm rad which will be mounted in the basement of the chassis, it really takes up a lot of space!

I've also prepped the chassis and applied the new custom paint I had made for this build, as mentioned earlier in the thread.

Images don't really reflect the true nature of the paint, but I'll try get better images to show the effect it has.

OI, you have to wipe the dust off the case before you do the clear coat :ROFLMAO:

:D :p

looking good

does that also add a textured feel?

Hehe thanks!

Yeah these pics were taken shortly after the respray was done, I'll try get better pics with more controlled lighting to try show the true colour.

As for the texture, no it doesn't add any texture, it's merely the texture of the chassis that's coming through and the pearl effect in sunlight that makes it stand out more. :)

lol, missed the joke :(

anyway, @BykskiZA when do I start my build for my 360 rad? :D :D

post some pics of your spray equipment please

now you are just making my 900D feel so 'naked' :(

Thank you for the interest in Bykski! :D

However, @SphinxMods bought the 480mm for his build.

Unfortunately, we aren't sponsoring builds at this stage. :)

For my spray equipment, it's nothing too crazy, a 50l compressor from Takealot, and the spray gun.

These items here:

Spray gun is very similar to this one: takealot.com

The colour on top of the existing texture works really really well!

This is hella exciting - seriously big boi rad there.

Thanks man!

Yeah she's coming along nicely, anything smaller than a 480mm rad for this chassis would be a crime. :)

TJ07 is my all time favourite case, followed closely by TJ11. Will be watching your build with keen (and judgemental) eyes. :p

Wouldn't expect anything less from a fellow fan of the TJ07 :D

Hi all,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I'll be unable to finish this build.

Should I start with a new build in the future, I'll make sure to upload a detailed log.
