Plenty of threads on carb from people who have had issues getting their goods or refunds out of them. Seems one has to go there in person if there is an issue and threaten to get the police involved in the one case where action started happening. I've stopped reading them. I wouldn't use them, most of their items are imported and not kept in stock, they will only order it once they have the payment from the customer.

Their prices are good and their goods generally have good delivery time (albeit with poor communication). My advice would be, buy from them if the product is very unlikely to fail as the return/refund process is a nightmare. Also I'm not sure if it applies, but use the .co.za site instead of the .com one. It shows their current stock on hand.

I bought my corsair virtuoso se headsets from them earlier in the year and received them in 3 days after I bought them. Was also scared to do it cause of all the negative reviews and stuff.

Agree, co.za site, bought quite a lot of stuff, mobo etc from them, and except for Fastway delivery being a holes, received all fast and efficiently. Although, communication is not really their strong point.

Hi All

Please note there is a large difference between pclinkshop.co.za and pclinkshop.com.
pclinkshop.co.za carries local stock that is shipped within 3 to 4 working days after the order is placed and payment is confirmed.
Pclinkshop.com are imported items that are brought in from the USA and Europe, hence there is a 15 to 20 working day waiting period.
Pclinkshop has been trading since 2011 as an online store. To date, there have been no refusals to refunds on cancellation of an order (we have never taken someone's money and kept it without delivering the product).
Orders that are made on pclinkshop.com are specialized orders, hence as soon as the order has been processed and stock is inbound from oversea's and the customer then wants to cancel, there will be a handling fee (up to 40%) and the item then needs to be shipped back to the supplier(as there is no guarantee that we will find another buyer for that specific item) hence there can be a delay on the refund as the item has to be shipped back to the supplier for credit assessment at the customer's cost.
Local items are sent back to the distributors for credit assessment where should they then credit the unit a refund is given. (general eta on this is 7 to 14 working days).
We do not shy away from customers or customer interactions, any customer is more than welcome to visit our offices(on email request) as most customers generally come to collect as per their order, we are still limited due to the covid restrictions hence no customers can be assisted on-site to place an order or make a cash payment.

Your reply has not really addressed @Furbz's concerns.

1. Furbz ordered from the .co.za site, not the .com site.
2. You say a lot about order cancellation, refunds etc, but this is not what was asked for: OP ordered something which has not been delivered.
3. How can people arrange an office visit (on email request) if you don't reply to the customer's email?

If you look at the original post you will see @Furbz's order number. Why can you not look up that number on your system and provide feedback on the status of that order, instead of telling us things that were not asked?

EDIT: I see you replied more specifically to the original query in a later post.

HI Furbz

We have sent you a tracking number via email, please note we do not work on weekends(hence the website states items shipping time is 3 to 4 working days. Your order was placed on the 25th at 16:03, as per the website all orders placed after 13:00 are only processed the next working day, hence the order was processed on the 26th and collected form us on the 27th, you will be able to see the collection date on the tracking number.

Based on bad service I have received there in the past and them also treating the guy next to me at the shop like crap. I won't support this store or recommend it to anyone.

Kudos to the shop for posting a reply. nice to know we have a platform that we can contact you on considering emails and phone calls are a no go.

From my side i just received confirmation of the order now - after this thread was started.
Shipped out on the 27th, was sent to the wrong depot but appears to be on its way.
but no communication of this was actually sent to me until i started asking questions here.

i think the issue here is communication - there is none from the supplier until a thread like this appears.
this is obvious by the numerous similar compaints.
hiding behind covid as an excuse for no landline is a joke. come on guys you are a PC shop. ever heard of VOIP forwarding?

imagine paying for an item and then getting no responses whatsoever?
would you be happy with your own communication if you were the customer?

Hi Furbz

Please note we did send you an sms on the 27th at 06:46 pm stating that the parcel is with fastway and it included your tracking number.
We had a look at our 3 modes of communication (in order direct message, email to [email protected] and lastly our ticket system [email protected], sadly we could find no communication from you.
As per the website, on the checkout page, it does state how long it takes to process the order as well as how long it takes to deliver the order(depending on the area you reside in).
we do however deal with a large number of orders daily hence its impossible to keep every customer updated with the progress of their order(especially during the processing of the order).
to remedy this we have implemented an SMS system that informs you of the item being shipped out from us ( however this is not yet linked with orders that are shipped out directly from the supplier to you as the customer), this is also why we have 3 different routes for you to enquire on your order should you want an update.
As for the statement about the phone lines, currently, we are transitioning to communicate via email only(as this allows us to have everything in writing, as we also deal with a large number of questions we had a lot of complaints about long queue times (sometimes close to Telkoms holding times XD, customers are more than welcome to request on email for us to call you back.

Please note also as for the response to this thread, we only recently joined Carbonite (on Saterday, the 28th) hence we want to create a thread that customers can see to should they enquire about the company.

Fair enough.
i went through my incoming sms and found the communication in my spam folder(truecaller). so i missed that. but something to maybe look into why its labeled as spam.
i don't know anyone who uses SMS anymore to communicate, its an old outdated system. so moving to email will be a step in the right direction.
if you are going to go entirely to email i'd suggest putting a system in place that has a confirmation email that is sent to the to the client to let them know you have indeed recieved their email query together with a process to ensure turnaround time on enquires is fast.

A pity about the phonelines. i find person to person contact to be essential in building trust in a supplier.

i'll say this, thank you for the response and understanding there is a communication issue between you and your customers.
looking at the reviews on google is scary to say the least, and is the reason i started this thread. i'd say some PR management is in serious need so keep up the communication and hopefully the more recent reviews will be more positive.

Hi Pclink team,

I ordered a product on the 22nd of October 2020 (Order #13937), and have still not received my product. You have no contact number and you don't respond to emails so how can customer contact be made if you are unwilling. When I on the 22/10/2020 I email you guys as to when I would receive the product which I ordered on Pc Link Computers: IT Online Store | SA's leading IT store (your so called local items in stock). Dehan replied the next day, "Kindly note that the stock is imported as the website indicates that the item is in stock at supplier. Hence the estimated delivery time aswell". Delivery estimated time was 10-20 working days.

On the 24/11/2020, I asked when they think the product will be delivered as wanted the product before Christmas. I got no reply!

On January 8th, 2021, I sent them another message asking to follow up on my order. I got a reply, not directed at me but I was CC'd in the email that said:

"Good day Dehan / Garth

Please see the order below and assist the client
Order 13937

Kind Regards,
George xxxxxxxx"

But no communication to me. I sent more than 5 emails back (on different days) but no response from PC Link...

On the 14th of Jan they responded by the exact word, "Good day Dehan / Garth..........".

They are thieves and I really question if there is a Dehan, Garth, or George.
I think they have written me off, and couldn't give a dam.

Yeah, their customer service is not the best. However, they are not a scam. You will eventually receive your parts.

I bough equipment from them in October 2020, see order conformation, Order #13749 confirmed. The amount of R17 700 about. I treat then as scammers as they have zero tracking of the parcel and do not reply to inquiries. Do think twice before loosing your money. I will remove my post once proved different. Order #11607 was placed on 23-08-2020. It was for a battery charger and two batteries for a Canon Digital Camera.
The order was received on 13-11-2020 but the charger was not there, only the two batteries. Several emails were sent to both Garth and Dehan but to date no resolution from your side.

Any comment?
