Hey bud why not look into an Ip tv box.
Will set you back about R1400 or so depending on the spec.
They do 4k hevc, have multiple usb ports and have built it wifi and lan. They support plex as well.
Just a thought unless you need something really powerful.
Have a look at the one below bud.

Yes it can do 1080p without a problem.

Why not get a NUC? They are tiny and if you run a Linux Distro, you can get good transcoding.
