Alright jokes aside, I am trying to Overclock my r5 2600 on an asrock b450 pro4 with gskill trident z 16gb 3200mhz
I managed to get 4.1ghz @ 1.35v (the ram i left it untouched, Just loaded the xmp profile and it worked really well at the rated xmp speeds)
I am aiming for 4.2ghz.
any changes that i need to make to the SOC voltage? i have not touched the soc voltage. I just made the changes by just adjusting the cpu vcore and clock frequency in my motherboard. I stress tested using aida64 cpu only. Left it yesterday running and stopped it just about now which makes it about 7hours. and temperatures peaked at about 70 degrees using the amd wraith prism cooler... NOt the stock cooler.

Do i need to make changes to the LLC?
What voltage is safe for 24/7 usage on a r5 2600?
Anyone with experience overclocking a ryzen setup please help.

my rig has 8 fans installed so far. 5 for intake and 3 exhaust if that helps. Temps are not an issue for me based on usage. I have not seen any guides on the internet on my exact motherboard.

From what I understand SOC voltage is usually to stabilise memory.

Did you try higher clocks with the same vcore. Just asking as you may be able to squeeze another 25 to 50mhz more with that vcore. If your temps was fine running aida64 for 7 hours you can maybe give a small vcore bump to 1.3625 or 1.375 and test but stay with your system to watch core temps.

Obviously with the slight vcore bump go step by step higher untill you lose stability.

You are unlikely to get to 4.2 unless you are pushing heavy voltage and temps. Best to use it 4 or 4.1 Ghz if you get a good chip and just rely on the increased gains from reduce turbo spooling / lag / delay
