Sup guys, struggling to get my ram to run at a full 3000mhz and be stable, here is my build :)

CPU - Ryzen 5 2600X
RAM - 2x8gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer 3000mhz
Motherboard - Asus TUF B450-Pro
GPU - XFX R9 390X Double Dissipation 8gb
PSU - Corsair VS650
Storage - Crucial MX500 520gb / WD Blue 2TB

Hey Guys, so I recently upgraded to this AM4 kit with the ram, cpu and motherboard and I'm struggling to get my ram to run on its full 3000mhz without getting stuck in boot loop, also with my 3000mhz DOCP profile on and my rams frequency set to 2800mhz I can boot and run everything for about 15 min until apps close when I alt tab and sometimes just a random shut down, I played a bit with voltages but im letting DOCP control most of that. I finally got it to work consistently at 2666mhz but I'd like to at least run it at 2800mhz since 2666mhz is a big downgrade from the 3000mhz of the ram.

Also what voltage do you guys recommend I run my 2600X at to be able to get decent clocks at a stable rate? I can't risk my pc crashing when playing games as I sometimes play officials etc.

And yes I did do a fresh install of windows when I installed the new hardware and also I do have Ryzen Master if that helps with anything :) Thank you!

I will try this as soon as I'm home thanks a lot man! :D

Hi there, look I'm not all that clued up with Micron memory used on an AM4 platform, I specifically went with Gskill memory with Samsung B-die memory chips. Now I've checked a review of your memory and luckily they stated there that it is with Micron memory chips. Now I do know that it does work. My advice would be as follow.

As stated above set the memory voltage to 1.45v
Put your SOC voltage at about 1.025v or there about - if it works then slowly lower it until it does not.
Lastly, do not use DOCP, enter the timings manually to see if it works having done the above.

If all of this works, then set the memory DOCP but make sure the memory voltage is set to 1.45v.

Lastly check if your bios has a setting to set the memory startup voltage usually in the Extreme Overclocking, or something like that bios menu, if you have it also set your memory voltage in there to be 1.45v.

I'm saying this coming from a Ryzen 7 1700, Ryzen 7 2700 and now a Ryzen 9 3900X so my advice might not work, but I'd like to help with the info I've read on OCN.
