Anyone else playing this ? It's a co-op RPG third person shooter.

Demo is out on Steam, full game launches 1 April : Pre-purchase OUTRIDERS on Steam

The game was completely off my radar but I saw there was a Steam demo out (a rarity these days) so I tried it.
Demo is pretty large (3 hours) so you can see if you like it.

I'm liking it a lot.
- Story and atmosphere is really good. Like Mass Effect Andromeda + Mad Max + Destiny.
- Gameplay feels a little clunky but not terrible. Pyromancer class is fun.

*All the gripes below got fixed in the full release*
- Game just needs some polishing. DLSS is supposed to be implemented but it's not in the menu and if you enable it via the config file it looks really bad
- Cutscenes are also locked at 30fps.
- Copious amounts of camera shake and motion blur.
- My FPS in engine limited scenes went from 70 to 120-140 by using a runtime parameter to enable DX12 but it's not fully implemented just yet as it crashes if you leave to lobby.

So out of interest is anyone playing this now that it is released.

I grabbed it on the 4th, which was when the server issues that have been plaguing the game seemingly were resolved.

I love this game!
Feels like D3 and Gears of War had a baby!

The complete version against the demo has a lot of the stuff @Nyt Ryda mentioned resolved.

have/do you, play it with a friend/s?

someone said that it routes you through US servers and so even though you are doing local co-op, pings were quite high

Whats that, some new kind of controller I haven't heard of ? :ROFLMAO:
/s

Also quite enjoying the game, but the game-play feels a bit rinse/repeat for me.
Henchmen, captain then boss fight. Even though the story behind them change, the action feels like this.
I'm only 6hours in though, so my opinion might change.

Big ups to them for forcing you to play your class though. I tried playing trickster as a mid range shooter and I died many many times.
One of the more difficult games for me since I always go to the latest tier and never remember to upgrade/craft anything.

well, if it was a post from you I was quoting, I would have left that part out or not even bother asking in first :p

I've been playing it with a friend, level 22 or so with world tier 10. 19.5 hours in (4.5 hours in the demo) and I'm enjoying it, way better than the demo.

- DX12 is implemented well with way better performance than demo.
- A bit of minor stutter at the beginning of a level (building shader cache up ?) but after that it's fine.
- DLSS is fantastic. It's a no-brainer to use it.
- Motion blur can be turned off finally.
- Cutscenes are running nicely at 120fps, the camera shake can be adjusted in the options and it feels fine now.

Story has been a pleasant surprise, keeps me interested in progressing.

Only minor issue is that after cutscenes there's a glitch that causes FPS to be dropped to a constant 60 but you can get back to your usual uncapped FPS by pressing escape and then escape again.

At the higher world tiers you have to keep upgrading your gear to stay alive and sometimes cater your skills to a boss fight after dying once. Some boss fights took us 3 attempts before we got it right.

Had some issues with the server downtime a couple days ago but it seems much better now.

I have been playing with a mate who is in SA and I am in the UK.

The ping didn't feel too bad to be honest.

It did have moments where it felt higher than comfortable but I mean all around, it was a pretty comfortable experience although I could definitely not use a Sniper.

Would probably get a better idea from someone who is playing locally together.
