Jobs are scarce better take what you can
Even if it is peanuts to some for others its more than enough
It's exactly this mentality that's creating this over worked under paid economy we're in.

People need to get paid what they're worth.

It's a terrible, terrible mind set to have.

If you've earned your skills (through studying or experience, or both) you should be rewarded as such.

Someone with 5 years of experience and qualifications should NEVER settle for R15k "because it's better than nothing"

There's a reason the post hasn't been filled yet

Sadly. you wont find many that want to work in that environment. its a deathtrap road to the site with the mozambiqan trucks. Also the asbestos (as i was told by a employee before i went underground) uplifiting your complete life to live in the sticks. literally the sticks

16 years experiance + degree in IT field. 15k is like mayb 1/3 of what an it person on a mine should get paid

It's obvious the guy posted his own position with the accompanying job spec just so we can all tell him the salary is just stupidly under market - all in an effort to print this thread and show his manager in a bid to finally get a more market-related salary. Ob-vee--arse 😁

This is a recruiter, not the most highly intellectual being.

20% of your annual package excluding VAT as a fee is a nice job just to reformat a CV given to you in Word.

Get paid your worth, never give your payslip info so they can profit from the kick back.

I have worked in too many mines locally and around the world as a systems support tech for their simulators for many years and now I freelance as I have my own company but would not even consider this with a salary like that.
