Anyone else following this? The last 2 episodes (Garou vs the Class A/B heroes and Genos)..... damn. Really looking forward to seeing where the finale goes.

Only watched the first season so far. Was awesome. Thanks for the reminder of the second season. Will have a look.

you gonna give in eventually and start reading it... they going to need a 3rd and a 4th season at least to cram in all of the cool scenes.

I've dabbled a bit. I heard that
Garou and Saitama don't actually square off properly until about 2 volumes later, after Garou has become an actual monster?

Just a little derail i also need to start reading for AOT and this too. Any good places to read from?

Was reading it but it actually wasn't super far ahead of that point (at least not with how long the arcs tend to last) and I wasn't sure when it was gonna end so have been waiting for it to "buffer" a bit more. Reckon it'll be a while before the anime continues, unless you want ninja animal-esque filler eps haha.

I prefer the animation in season 1; you don't actually see him landing punches / any fight scenes for that matter. Just start reading it.
Also up to date with Attack on Titan Manga, the show also lost something...that or I am too far ahead now

OPM still awesome though. The entire martial arts tournament was funny. You just jump around, do a couple spins and try and make the attack look good

Anyone else disappointed a bit by the finale? I know there's more to come, especially with Garou, according to the Manga, but still, season 1's last episode was AWESOME. This, was, okay?

Some online review said something down the lines of: "rewatch season 1 if you want more One Punch man". Sounds like Season 2 didn't really land for some people

Is this on Netflix? Saw that only season one is there....

I wasnt to happy with the way Season 2 was written. It was more like the Dragon ball concept were they prolong the episodes.
By far, Season 1 is the best. I really hope they improve Season 3 and show alot more of Saitama.

Season 2 fell dismally short compared to S1 to say the least :cautious:

The change in production companies is making a bigger difference than expected in terms of quality.

I mean in the entire season I think Saitama throws 1 actual punch that you get to see (Final 30 seconds of the season I might add)

There's also a lull in in the manga though before the tournament? Or are they actually cutting fights?

I read somewhere that it was more due to the Director changing. Shingo Natsume who directed Season 1 was someone who drew in a lot of exceptionally good artists. Due to him being busy with other anime (Boogiepop I think), he did not direct One Punch Man Season 2. I also remember reading that a lot of these artists joined to make One Punch Man Season 1 to have the achievement of working with someone like Shingo Natsume. They also were busy with their other projects and could not be brought onto Season 2 of One Punch Man.

Not sure how much of it is true but based of what I've read on various forums and articles, this seems to be the just of why the show was lackluster compared to Season 1. Then again there have been multiple other anime adaptations from J.C Staff that people were not happy at all with.

Season 2 ended so awesomely that I didn't even realize it had ended until I saw there is no eps coming. I actually googled the release date of the next episode since Duckie didn't show it and via Google I finally learnt "Oh, that was the ending of the season?"

You know how Saitama is always saying he is a hero "just for fun" because he is always bored? Seems like the writer felt the same way...
"Right, time for something else, I'm bored. Just stop the season mid sentence and add the full stop during episode 1 of season 3, 2 years from now" :(

The whole of Season 2 we was waiting for that "Serious Series: Serious Punch" and it only happened in the last couple minutes of the last episode of the season.... what a let down :(

But in other news, My Hero Academia started.... this series is really something else. The story telling on how Deku becomes the greatest hero...... brilliant!!!
Hmmmm.... maybe we should start a thread about My Hero Academia, lol
