Onboard Sound issue with MSI Bazooka B360M and windows 10 ver 1903 latest update

Hey awesome people of Carbonite...some tech help would be greatly appreciated.

Recently I just cannot get sound from any of the input or output connections on my pc. It has the onboard Realtek HD audio.

However can get sound via HDMI to my screen...but Im running DVI as it gives the the 144Hz but obviously no sound.

Did all the usual stuff. new drivers...old drivers and so on.

Its a clean build of Windows 10 Pro... OS build 18362.449

Okay made some progress... I was missing the Nahimic app on my pc and the Realtek audio console

So after a whole lot of wasted time... I bought and installed an off the shelf PCI-e sound card.
Installed the drivers from cd and hey presto we have sound.
So I think my particular build of Windows 1903 has some issue with the sound drivers. Hopefully Microsoft and Realtek will get a fix uploaded in their next windows update package.

This does not add up as when I had a issue with discord and my headset most of the members recommended to update sound drivers direct from gigabytes website of which solved my issue but glad you got it working again

My onboard chipset is also realtek related

Funny enough I even used the cd that came with the MSI motherboard and still no sound. Ill take it back to the shop that I purchased it at, to see if they are aware of anything.

Hi. I ended up getting the motherboard replaced under warranty. If out of warranty, the easy fix is a decent cheap sound card if that is an option as you can get one under 200 rand
