Needs to go ASAP! Taking up valuable space I can use for other clutter.
Item: i5 3570k CPU, Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z Mobo, 16GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM COMBO, ThermalTake Tower Cooler (1x120mm Fan INCLUDED, 2 Supported)
Age: Old ey, must be from around 2012, the parts made their rounds in our friend group, I was the last to own it.
Price: R2000 for all, I will throw in a pair of black corsair rams too. (2x4GB if I remember correctly)
Warranty: None, 3 days on me, you must return the parts in the condition I gave them to you though.
Packaging: Uhm.... I guess I can make a plan with a box for you if you really want one. No Original boxes
Condition:
- CPU - Great! ( Overclocks to 4.2GHz with ease, been overclocked most of its life, could probably go higher when you up the Voltages)
- Mobo: Not too great, One LAN port does not work, and I could for the life of me not get the onboard audio to work in Win10 or Linux... Although the previous user went from Win7 to Win10 via upgrade path so the drivers seem to have worked for them, but let us just assume the audio is dead. I just used USB audio, you can grab a cheap one from Matrix.
Sometimes when the power was out, it requires a Reset on CMOS, thankfully there is a button on the mobo for this... (Top Left Corner)
Sometimes, at boot, the USB ports do not work and require a restart, really weird.
It has 2 BIOSssesssesss loaded, the second one is unstable and I have not flashed it back to stock, so use the 1st one.
I do not have any of the original accessories for this board, not even the I/O Shield. Board only.
- RAM is RAM, as far as I can tell no issues here...
