[Wanted] Office chair 'repair'

Item To repair:The following type of chair: Luxury Executive Hiback Office Chair Cm043 | Decofurn Furniture
Issue: The back piece tilt can no longer be stiffened and goes "flat" in about an hour or so, so I'm guessing it's the gas/hydraulic or something, I'm no chair expert.
How did it break: My stepfather is more than the 130kg limit, and he made sure to lean super deep into it, hopefully unintentionally.
Location: Cape Town
Ballpark/Budget Amount: The chair new costs R2100, so I suppose R500 is my limit, anything more and I might as well buy a new one as the chair is about 3-4 years old
