Oculus recalls due to health risks! Free solution offered ...but not for South Africans

Elsewhere on this site I raved about the awesomeness of Amazon and why nobody should fear importing stuff. It seems there actually IS a downside... I actually learned of this via an email sent to me BY Amazon but because it contained a "Please click here for more info" link I decided to go Google it instead.

So kudos to Amazon again for being on-the-ball enough to warn me of this issue before anyone else... and kudos to Facebook for providing a free protective cover to prevent you getting a rash on your face (or in some cases, ending up in hospital, apparently)... but if they don't ship to South Africa, what the heck are we to do? 🤷‍♂️

I followed the instructions to claim my free cover and got to the country dropdown only to find South Africa is not on there. Clicking on the "Is your country not in the dropdown?" link they just say "Those are the only places we ship to. Good bye".

So now what? 🤷‍♂️
