Introduction
Hello and welcome to the return of South Africa's Overclocking League. The idea of this friendly competition is build each other's overclocking and benchmarking skills while, most importantly, having fun. The rules have been designed in such a way as to remove most variables from the game to give anyone with a modern machine a fair, fighting chance. This thread is purely for discussion of results posted in the official thread.

Good luck and have fun :D

Thanks, amended. SB-E is free to play on four cores.

What about Faildozer and its fake cores ? IMO any CPU should be allowed as long as its limited to 5GHz with 4 cores and 4 threads only ??

I don't see anyone here running one, so it doesn't matter. Bulldozer doesn't stand much chance here anyway. IF there's a large demand for it, it will get its own category. There will have to be a minimum of five people competing fiercely for this to be considered.

Are you quite done spamming now? :p

Single channel, dual channel, tri channel, quad channel. Knock yourself out, dual channel has often proven to be the best choice for benching.

Hey Oj0, what about a competition background. Only release it tommoz to stop people jumping the gun :p

@ systech: You know, I thought about this and I also thought about having Time and Date Properties visible, but this is a fun competition - it's not like there's R10k at stake or something.

I will be keen, pretty much a noob and my MSI board is rather pedantic when it comes to overclocking.....

Any rules regarding FM approved and non-FM approved drivers or are we free to use whatever drivers we want ?

I had a herp derp moment, I was running EIST and C-State, turned them off then manually adjusted the vcore, scary stuff here.

MORE PRIZES SECURED!

We should now have two aluminium LN2 pots and several spot prizes to give away as well

Please keep in mind that multiple results can be in one thread. Don't go back to an ancient post to add new results or I won't see them, but if you have two or more to post at the same time you're welcome to do them in one post. It's not a requirement, I think it might make things easier for y'all.

Just a heads up, when uploading pictures DON'T allow the hosting site to resize the images, or only allow a minimal resize. Your pictures are right on the verge of not being readable. I see they're resized to be 1024 px wide. Photobucket has several resizing options. On the upload page you have "Customize your upload options" - click that and select either "Best possible quality (while staying 1mb or less)" or "2048x1536", the first option being preferable.

Just by submitting more than two results you're in first place for now :p

I honestly did try coz i know my pics are so small its just just readable. When i get home tonight ill try uploading again and see if i can skip the resize. Was getting late last night so didnt have much time but ill sort it out! :)
