Description of Bad Deal: Didn't follow through on delivering promised missing parts
AztekSA and I met when he bought a GTX 1070 SC2 from me which was actually sold in the computer with deal thread linked above.
We got chatting and realised we both like testing and then moving hardware.
On the 14th August he engaged me to find out if I had found the monitor I was looking for.
I responded that I hadn't and we started chatting further about the Alienware monitor included in the above thread.
A conversation on whatsapp with well over 30 lines followed and we agreed on a deal.
On the 15th August we concluded the deal.
When he dropped the monitor with me, he mentioned a part missing that he promised he would get to me. (he also told me that he acutally had the box and would also fetch it, but the thread above says he doesn't have it, so let's leave that out for now).
Due to our pleasant conversations and previous dealings I believed he would get it to me and he walked away with his side of the deal (trade and cash).
On the 19th August I message and ask when I can collect the "box and missing part" and on the 20th August he mentioned that he would go through and pick them up the next day.
On the 21st I ask when I can collect. No response.
On the 22nd I ask what's going on and mention I am concerned by his lack of response.
On the 23rd I point out that he is getting my messages because I could see that he was on whatsapp many times after I sent messages, and mentioned I would open a bad deal thread.
AztekSA then responds and says his phone has a smashed screen and he confirms he will have the items by that night. He apologises for being "rude".
On the 26th I ask again about the items. No response.
27th same story.
Please note that he is going on whatsapp during this time.
3rd September, I told him I have been patient and will be opening a bad deal thread. No repsonse.
4th September - I get a message from AztekSA asking for my cell number since his phone was stolen a week prior. I send it.
11th September - today - opening bad deal thread.
I have read up on a bad deal thread with him before and it always seems to be something to do with his phone.
I would highly recommend thinking twice before dealing with him, and especially if there is a portion of the deal or something from his side that you are waiting for.
I do not believe that someone who works as a consultant in a professional or consulting role can live without a phone.
So the argument is completely flawed.
I look forward to your response AztekSA and potentially even getting the missing part to the alienware screen.
