New member ladder system

Hi everyone

So we've tweaked our system that governs the member-level ladder. The idea was to move away from the plain message count metric that was used to determine member levels towards trophy points which can be much more interesting and reflective of your activity on the forum. We've also tried to make the trophies themselves as interesting as possible given the metrics we can track on the forum.

The breakdown is as follows:

Level	Min points needed
Junior member	300
Member	1000
Well-Known member	1800
Senior member	2500
Epic member	3000
Legendary member	4000
Part of the furniture	10000

And you can see what you've earned when clicking on the trophy points number next to your profile pic.

The points, levels, and trophies may change over time if we see that it is unbalanced. Feedback is welcomed.

The add-on does not cater for itrader yet

Please take note: I've adjusted the requirements for the member levels cause ocd and steps of 500 seem much neater. If there are issues I'd rather alter the points of trophies or add trophies when necessary.

Also, if your title isn't changing when you reach a points level then let one of the admins know cause your profile may have a custom title set which just needs to be removed for it to adopt the title applicable for your level

How long does it take for it to update or is it only once you cross the points threshold?
Or wont it update automatically if VIP supporter?

It should update automatically, but since you are VIP it will stay VIP until your status change. You can change it to something else since you are VIP if you don't want that

As explained the system does update it automatically.

But as some of you remember in 2018 we moved over to Xenforo, ALL the user titles were persisted in your user title property by Xenforo during the move. We only manually remove this persistence when we "update" your title so that the new system can upgrade it automatically from there on out. We cannot do this in batches and I'm sure as fuck not going to go through every member still stuck on the old title just to update it.

Promotion to VIP now requires 5000 points and 2FA should be enabled.

Xenforo finally added the option to remove the title in batches.

I updated about 10k members that were still stuck on the old titles. I'm not sure if I remembered all of the old titles, so again if you are stuck on a title please contact an admin.

LASTLY for those with custom titles (that were given to you or that you added yourself) please just check if it's still correct.
