New ITX Laser cut case

I dont have pics here, but I made small 90 degree tabs which attach to the exterior of the case and to the motherboard. Same as the PCI ex cable @SohailCPT
Ps.
my amazon order of 3 noctua 92mm fans arrived :)

So ran into a bit of an issue when to came to countersinking my assembly screws - a multi flute countersink really gives me a kak "finish"

got a "fancy" zero flute counter sink yesterday - hopefully get a test assembly done in the next day or too depending on Apex

If your countersink bit is not perpendicular to your workpiece or you're using a hand drill, it can give you kak flower patterns.

Was not happy with counter sinking the holes, also ran into issues drilling and tapping the m3 screws in the exact spot for the side panels.

Going to use screws like this rather to give me .5mm magin of error.

Hey chaps, Finally got an update to share.
After a week of kak weather and struggling to paint the case I got her done. Due to the weather and struggles I didnt take inprogress images.

To prep the metal I did a sand down off all surfaces with 1200 griit, then a 6 hour 10% phosphoric acid solution pickle, followed by dunk and wash in water. Then rushed the parts into the warmer draw to flash dry everything.
While the stuff was still warm I gave it the first "coat" in my make shift booth.
From there once a day, everyday I proceeded to do another light coat outside when it wasnt raining.

Finished product

Had to clean up all the M3 tapped wholes from excess paint to ensure the screws fitted correctly:

I left the parts to cure more (already 48 hours) while I waited for the 8700k delid from @Omit Computers.

The delid got me a 5 degrees improvement on the temp delta BTW (65C in powermax)

I need some advice on where to get tubing for my AIO...

uc

I need 5.5mm ID pipe - currently im using silicone tubing but it looses water quite steadily due to permeation. I dont really want to have to import 1 foot of tygon :|
The other pipe seen here is an old bit I used for measurements.

Well Done @-=sT3V3=-
Really coming along nicely.

Have mine on the back burner at the moment. What riser cable did you go with?

eish, thought had some :(

mine is like 8mm I think

that is some thin tubing

Got some 6mm thin wall PVC from Mica - not too sure if this will be a long term solution.

in case anyone if wondering how to bleed an AIO:

Put some time in this day off...

had to make a "Custom" PSU cable - didnt bother importing the molex plugs due to cost and delays, got them from mantech - hence they are white.

The PSU cable is tiny as you can see.
Then spent some time heatsinking fan cables and soldering them.
Not gonna paint the rad yet - might do that when I have to change the pipes.

Pic to show the size difference compared to a PC-Q18

Finished up and got the system running.
GPU gets to 75C max in game (fan speeds auto)
CPU 70C Max running power max

Done :)

running @ stock for the moment, one thing im not used to is the silence of this setup.
Even in game the box is a lot better than my last setup.

I dont like GPU overclocking, but will tweak the fan speeds I think.
I plan to OC the 8700k soon, just need to research newer methods as im a bit out of date. I did have it delidded by Omit which helped the delta temp by 5-6 degrees

Those temps are with the side panels, they have very little effect. The top 92mm fans are all for heat removal leaving the side panels for intake and aesthetics

I can do a little update regards overclocking the 8700k on a 92mm AIO cooler, it is a struggle as anything over 150W draw is too warm. It seems I need to stick to around 1.275V maybe a 4.6 all core

Still looking at a solution to extract heat from the A4-SFX without cutting it o_O
Busy designing custom side panels for my case and almost had the same idea you did with yours. MOAR VENTS! :ROFLMAO:
