Heyo, So I have been waiting for the unveiling of these two bikes. The other one I am waiting for is the new 2020 SuperDukeR (I can't wait).

So the Ducati StreetFighter V4

I think it looks a bit ugly imho. Especially with those dumb wings, they might have a use but considering they did not adjust the engine what so ever from the superbike, I don't think wings are going to help a rider battling the wind @300kph.....
1100cc V4
208Hp stock, 220Hp with optional exhaust.
120nm ---- really? only 120 from this top range naked? disappointed.
178kg dry.
Price, Probably close to R300k if not more. Not worth it in my opinion.I'd rather get the Monster 1200 or StreetFighter 848 second hand.

Z H2

I can't find a decent front view of the headlights. It's got a asymmetrical look to it as it has a air duct on the left that leads to the supercharger. They changed out the single sided swing arm for a conventional one, new tft display. I prefer the look of this over the V4 but still looks a bit bland compared to it's competition.
998cc I4 SUPERCHARGED!
197hp - I like
140nm - I like
238kg... shjo, it's going to be heavy. Supposedly only 1 kg heavier than the H2.
It's going to be "cheaper", 17000 dolla compared to the current price of the SDukeR 18200 dolla. I don't mind the look, It's a little bit like the current SDukeR in the sense that you are either going to like it or not. Might swap to this next year when it's available if I can give it a test ride.

Still waiting for the new SDukeR. Soo much excitedness

lol....SAme!!! expected chun li and some new street fighter chicks.....what is this world coming to...streetfighters are now bikes....

Stupid bikers!

I like the look of the ducati actually. And it's especially nice that it's the same engine as the panigale which is currently king of the bikes.

boooooooring..................
How to spot someone who's never ridding one of these crazy machines. Personally I'm an off-road/dual sport guy so yeah, maybe boring from that point of view, but if your pulse isn't in triple digits on one of these things then there;s something wrong.

How to spot a V-twin rider...

Considering the Z H2 gets 16% more torque with a supercharged motor that's only 10% smaller, I'd say 120nm is pretty good.

To me they both look too chunky. I like naked bikes to be lean and look almost too small, but I guess when you have a 1000cc+ motor in a naked bike the there's no way around it....without a V-twin :devilish:

Still my fav naked to date is the Orange 2006 Z750

The Panigale is King?
I don't disagree that the Panigale is one of the top but I don't think it's king. The H2 still kicks ass with performance, The BMW is said by many reviewers to be better at handling than the Panigale.
I'm not hating on the Ducati, If I could afford to maintain one I would definitely have the 1199 or 1299 panigale.

Regarding sticking a unaltered superbike engine idea came from MV from their serie oro brutale. Which has their 210hp(I think its 210) superbike engine in a naked setup. I would still prefer a bit more low down grunt from a naked. The current nakeds will be able to keep ahead of this new Streetfighter V4 until the top speed kicks in.

I'm waiting for the new 2020 KTM 1290 SDukeR for a reason, I will most likely go back to owning one. 140nm and 177hp murdered anything and everything, Brakes were monstrous and the thing was super light.

V-twin POWA!!!

DID YOU JUST POOPEH ME ?
Take your BMW elsewhere!

Z 750... really? it's not even iconic like the SV650 or GSXR750, ZX1400. Something that history will remember.
Jup really :) None of those you mentioned I view as iconic at all really. 996, Srad, zx7, those are iconic :p

Agree to disagree. The ZX7 and Z750 are meh bikes. I come round one day when I have a SDukeR again and let you ride it. Then you will buy SDukeR, or SDukeGT or SAdventureR :p

Zx7 not iconic? Dukes are amazing no doubt about it . They are just getting too big and chunky. Hence why I enjoyed and like the z750

A bit of seriousness now. Have you seen a 1290 SDukeR in person?
If not then maybe you need to see one parked next to a BMWS1000R,MT10 or even a older Z750. The KTM is physically smaller and narrower than those inline 4s. it's a little bit taller than the inline fours but that's it. it's much skinnier.
I might have a pic of the KTM 1290 I owned next to a BMWS1000XR,Suzuki GSX1000S,MT10,2008 Honda CB1000R. The only one that actually looks smallish compared to the KTM is the Suzuki GSX1000S. Then the Honda CB1000R looks a bit bigger and then the MT10 and S1000XR look like behemoths out of the lot.
People knowing it's a 1.3 litre engine just assume it's a physically massive bike, which it really isn't.

Yeah I have, not next to lots of other bikes though. I like how squished it looks, nice and short (from front to back), but as you say, maybe just because I have never ridden one, and just the idea of the 1.3L makes me think it is larger than it is.
I learned how to ride on a MTX50, and a few weeks later the second bike I rode was a ZX12, so I have that size on how your ride that in my head I guess, which I know is not correct.

I think the next bike I will get for the road though will be a 701

If you get a 701 then Imma def ride it ;) . The white one or black one? I'm not sure what the differences between them are but I know they have different names.

Never seen the black one, might the the 701 vitpilen perhaps? The naked bike?

Neo cafe ish looking naked. 701 vitpilen(white) and 701 svartpilen (Black). Uses the KTM 690 engine.
Ah Yeah, thats it. I want the Motard though :p

Yeah KTM owns Husky

I am sorry, but to me, naked bikes are probably the ugliest 2 wheel contraptions out there.

Different strokes for different folks I guess (preferably two :p )

Oooh, Thems are expensive though. The KTM 790 Duke is a bit cheaper than those 701/ktm690 motards. They fun as hell but boy, the KTM 690 SMC R has brutal pickup. It only wants to pickup the wheel, forget about speed.
one positive, Never have to replace the front tyre ever again xD

Didn't know that. Gas Gas are those seat-less trial bikes arn't they?
They make trails bikes, but they also have a long history of making off roads as well, which lines up perfectly for KTM, since they would then own 3 major enduro brands in the European market.

If you watch the reviews from last year and this year you'll see the ducati is rated tops. As with the H2 the reviews comparing it show that the ducati is better. The ducati has more use able power and ability while the kawasaki is just good in a straight line. Check 650ib on YouTube when he does the comparison as he owns both bikes

Fair enough
