I don't know what needs to be done in this case so I would like the admins to intervene. Also please move the post to the relevant section if required.

This is the deal thread, [Sale] - 200w INVERTER | Tools.
It was sold to @Zindaar for R350 including delivery. The payment was made, I shipped the item. Once he receive it he says the device is only 180W and not 200W as advertised because the inverter has been rate as "180VA". Now I am not an electrical engineer but 180Va is not 180W a quick google search will tell.
He still insists that the inverter is 180W and gave a neutral because the product was not "not a 200W as advertised ".

I named the sale thread by reading the box which clearly says its Output is 150-200W. Now I cant argue or dont have enough textbook knowledge to explain the difference between 180VA and 200Watts.
Also, I posted as many pictures as possible for the buyer. He does accept that it's his mistake for not checking the images because he could have easily seen all the information he required to make an informed decision. He also confirms that the device is serving him the purpose he bought it for, but will give a neutral because the box says 180Va not 200VA.

I honestly dont feel I deserve a neutral for this reason.

Good morning. The box is marked "180VA". That's pretty obvious. Since wattage is volts x amps (roughly), 180VA does mean very close to 180W. 150VA models will be 150W and 200VA models will be the 200W ones.

I have no comment on if that rating is fair or not. Did you offer to rectify the problem? Offer a refund? Was he open to consolidation?

He said its working for him as he only needs it for 140W so dint offer a refund.
The other aspect is that the inverter was sold for R350 including delivery and it cost me R147 for delivery, which means it will be another R147 to get the device back. But if that's what is required to be done, I am ready for it.

Hope this doesn't get me a ban.

The box is a generic box used for 3 different models (and different colours)
It will either be a 150W, 180W or 200W... In this case the item was the 180W one (as indicated by the model on the actual item and the block being checked on the box).

My side is that the device is clearly labeled (on the device and the box) 180VA inverter. He advertised and sold it as a 200W inverter. <- That right there is a scam\ negative rating.

I'm willing to accept that he thought it was a 200W inverter and I also didn't do my due diligence and check the pictures properly. It seems like it will work for my needs, which means I'm willing to mark it as a neutral.

I did also tell him in our discussions That I was willing to make it a positive rating if he returned the good faith by contributing o the community via a PIF.

He gave me a rating. I waited a couple days for a PIF to appear, when it didn't, I gave the neutral rating.

If he wants it back he can have it, but he agreed to include shipping, the cost of it has no relevance.

Our chat is all on Carb, I'm sure as an Admin you can view our PMs.

Alright, it seems arguments were made further. Both buyer and seller didn't do due diligence, and since both are seemingly unhappy, Neutral for both is more warranted. That's the end of it.
