Hey guys,

I need to monitor a clients network and provide monthly reports on uptime and availability.

What software would you recommend i use be it cloud based or physical server on site?

Most Microtic router boards come with THE DUDE on it that you could use

Or you can run the old legacy THE DUDE on a PC or server
I would recomend a HEX or HEXs board from them or here is the download lin k to the legacy one

And here is the DUDE info page

Monitoring uptime/HW stats/Network/Attacks/all of the above?
Environment size?

Check out Managed Workplace, it should give you right uptime reports and monitoring software.

We use a combination of Dude and zabbix/grafana to monitor our ISP network.
Dude works great for monitoring our Mikrotik devices , Zabbix is free and works on standalone server ,
I believe the have cloud options as well , Grafana give a beautiful graphing interface for everything.

Solar winds is good, but due to the recent hack , no one is trusting them.
PRTG free probe sensor, Observium (Observium) can help you
