Deal Thread URL: [Sale] - 32" QHD 144hz Monitor LG 32GK650F | Monitors
Seller:
@Shas'o Kais
Buyer: @Whoozycomic

OP posted a monitor for sale, I agreed to purchase and even Dibs post, user then started receiving other offers of Carbonite, and requested a deposit which I hesitated due to the lock down, and no confirmation of when couriers services will resume, after OP agreed to no deposit and to put monitor on hold for me and agreed to the terms of waiting the 3 weeks, I even guaranteed payment for the monitor once the lock down ends, We agreed and OP said he will pack up the monitor and wait on lock down, correspondence stopped for a day and then got a text the next day that he sold the monitor to another user.

I believe that this is a deal in bad faith, as I adhered to all the rules of Carbonite and even Dibs the post and agreed to deal, I then left a negative review regarding the deal and now the OP leaves a negative review on my profile, with no actual reason (dont meet his standards).

I have whatsapp chats to confirm that he agreed to put monitor on hold for me, even after we agreed to no deposit and that he will not sell to someone else until the 3 weeks of the lock down is up.

OP mentioned I said that I said he can sell to someone else, but even after my comment, he still agreed to put monitor on hold for me.

Please let me know if I can get my negative feedback removed, as I am the wronged party.

This is not a bad deal. It may only be a negative feedback. However I need you to please post the conversation on your whatsapp showing that the seller agreed to the deal because in your messages he asked if you're going to still take the deal and he needs a deposit in order to do so.

Hi Ian

I have whatsapp messages as proof that the OP agreed to keep the monitor for me after I explained I wont pay a deposit, Will post shortly

Ok, looks like he did agree and then sell to someone else. You can leave him a negative feedback if you want. He could have spoken to you before deciding to sell it, but you are also not in any worse position than if he were to not accept the terms. So it's up to you. I think i would have let it slide. You're both established members so paying him the deposit wouldn't have been so bad as he could have always paid back the money if anything went wrong.

Hi Ian

Thank you for your swift intervention, I will be leaving the negative feedback as I have a deal in place for my monitor with another user that I will have to cancel due to this deal going south, and I dont feel that it is fair that this affects another sale, also with that being said a deposit being held for a time frame we dont know how long will last isnt fair as the money can be used for other essential items in this trying time. That is why I agreed with OP to sell the monitor to someone else in 3 weeks if I didnt come forward with the money. OP had options and chose to go against our agreement which is a moral choice.

Just as it's hard for you, it's hard for him to go without the money. Bit of a catch 22 don't you think? As far as you're comparing morals i'd say only sticking with your point of view is a little selfish.

Fair point, but nothing was mentioned to me prior. I am sticking to the terms of carbonite and if i did the same i will accept the consequences of my actions.

I feel that its unfair that I have Negative comment for choosing who I decide to sell the monitor to yes i agreed that I would sell it to him but nothing paid, Also I did mentione to him that I needed the cash when I sent him the messsage the next day I believe a negative comment should be left for deal made and something goes sour.

This is not one of those moments

as you can see this is a one way selfish act and @ian_stagib please remove the Negative feedback as this deal was not concluded

I feel like @Whoozycomic is so upset he cannot move on from this, Also i can mention a few carbies that I have delt with in the past and they will require a deposit as if its goner take more than 1 month, Yes I did communicate well as I needed to conclude the deal asap

You are also in the wrong @Whoozycomic

You do not have any deals currently with anyone as I see you posted a new thread saying you looking for a Monitor.

Me selling the screen does not have any affect on any of your current deals. I did not screw any of your plans, You were selling your screen prior before you met me.

You are just upset and extremely sour

This is your new thread

Reading through those messages, it is clear that Shas'o Kais was never happy with the arrangements, but was being pressured into agreeing to arrangements that did not suit him. Furthermore, Whoozycomic has suffered no loss, actually, not any real inconvenience either.

@ian_stagib can we please have clarity on this aspect: If a seller agrees (even reluctantly) to hold something for someone, and then takes an immediate deal he/she gets a negative rating from now on?

You should be well acquainted with our rules by now, and even in the template it says a deal for purposes of feedback is concluded when both parties agree to the deal. You did agree to the deal and you didn't provide proper communications as to the change in heart. The itrader will stand for that reason. If you had made better communications then i would have decided in your favour, but you just went and sold it to someone else.

This here is also what I said to him Prior to selling the screen

I will also be submitting a negative feedback as he is also at fault. If thats the case

That message is older than the whatsapp messages, is it not? Therefore you agreed to the deal and there wasn't any communications before you sold it to someone else. You may not return a negative feedback for someone providing you a negative feedback as it just results in revenge feedbacks which we won't allow. If you provide one then you'll receive a temp ban for itrader abuse.

It's always been the case, in the rules i made it clear that a deal is a deal once agreed on except if there is proper communication to the other party to say that there has been a change in heart. Lots of people have been annoyed by sellers just selling to other people without notification or providing a chance to the buyer to do something to keep the deal, and vica versa buyers dibsing items and agreeing to the deal but not following through. The seller here didn't provide the decent comms which i envisioned to be the basis of good trading.

Ok no problem, You can close this thread am satisfied with the answer and outcome, I have learned something valuable from all this. I now know how to handle certain types of People.

Lesson learned.

Thanks! @ian_stagib

If you look at my ad, my monitor is for sale and on hold for a user pending my new screen being bought, my sale was only initiated once I opened into an agreement with you for your monitor, and now I have to look for another monitor hence me placing a ''wanted'' advert, so that I dont have to let down the user buying my monitor.

My Ad : [Sale/Trade] - LG 34UC79G-B 34" 21:9 Curved UltraWide (2560 x 1080) IPS Monitor 144Hz | Monitors

Quoted directly from the rules.

"A Feedback rating should be used to rate the experience of a completed deal. For the purposes of Feedback, the deal may be reviewed once both parties have agreed on the deal and the only step left is payment/delivery/collection. Feedback ratings given for deals not reaching this point will be removed. FOR EXAMPLE: You may give a neutral/negative rating because the other party called off the deal, didn't pitch up or sold the item to someone else once you've reached an agreement and they did not reasonably communicate a decent reason for the change of circumstances. There must be proof of the communication or lack thereof. For clarity: there is a distinction between asking someone to hold an item before they make up their mind (not a completed deal) and asking someone to hold something because they have made up their mind and are waiting for something to happen after which they will definitely take it (completed deal). Remember this applies to both seller and buyer."

Can you please relax and stop bugging me about it or you'll get a ban too. I'm not always available to attend to things. I'll get to it when I get to it
