I need someone to verify the temp on corsair link called "temp#11" or tmpin5 in hwmonitor

Mine is sitting on a toasty 90deg plus [emoji85]

No RVE here but only things that could be that temp are pch and/or vrm.
See if setting pch volrage to 0.9v makes a difference. If it does then that's what it is.
If not set lowee vrm switching frequency or set to t.probe and see if reading changes. Or try optimized.
High VRIN can also cause high temp readings, depending on OC 1.75v could work. Still suspect vrm or pch

Pch and vrm temps are in the 40s in the bios. This particular sensor even on a cold boot the next day's shows this high temp. Consensus is off other forums (Asus and Corsair) that this is a phantom sensor ... Other rve owners have the same temp sensor giving this massive reading.

Aida64 seems dandy

Released now from old screenshots of my corsair link it did not report the myriad of temperatures it does in the latest versions of the sw

Mine is sitting at 100 odd degrees! Can't recall off the bat but found it strange as well...I have a budget Z170-k board but all else seems fine.

Will post screenshots later tonight to confirm

Also Corsair link ? Seems they have enabled additional sensors off the controller ... Some of which are phantom readings

Yep Corsair link and HW Monitor... Will check a bit later and upload screenshots but haven't checked it for a while...

Eish ... If it were true you could have a dual purpose as a kitchen stove for your pc. Still kinda scary to see such numbers but at least they "phantom"

Yep! Scared the crap out of me! Opened it up and touched all the components but nothing out of the ordinary temps wise... strange tho

Lol have the same issue with my Asus X99 Deluxe I sent it in for RMA PC had random crashes BF1 froze up. if I were you I would RMA the board.

The temps jump between 105° and 120° I think it is a faulty sensor I could be wrong. I picked it up in numerous Temp apps including Corsair Link.
