Hi guys😄

After lots of thinking i have decided to pursue a career in airplanes. Did some research to see what type of jobs are available and an Airline Maintenance Technician really caught my eye.
I am finding it hard to find information online regarding this career. I do plan on doing the course outside of South Africa, maybe UK or UAE.
Not set on becoming a airline technician but definitely want to do something with airplanes.

Hoping someone on the forum can inform me about the requirements and assist me in the applying process .
Maybe you have a friend in the aircraft field that i could contact.
Just need some guidance.

any help is appreciated
thank you

Trying to stay away from anything South African owned/runned. SAA is an option but they are already in the dumps. Also I won't be able to have dual citizenship if I do a course with the airforce.

Would much rather do a course with Etihad or Qatar airways for example.

Do you currently have dual citizenship or do you still have to get it?

The SAAF pays your salary and will also pay for whatever you want to study as long as it’s in line with what your core mustering is.

Some of the guys I work with have went on from being Aircraft Mechanics with their N Diploma to Mechanical Engineers with degrees in Mechanical Engineering. The SAAF paid for everything.

Don’t be so dismissive of the SAAF. It’s not all doom and gloom.

I really wouldn't mind doing it with the airforce, you're also more likely to get employed in future if you have worked with the airforce.

The problem is I do have dual citizenship already and its not worth losing
