Been talking to my friends, trying to convince them about this. Last one i attended was 2016. I am definitely considering going!

Big suitcase, everything inside. Use clothing as packaging material. Take GPU (really, anything with moving parts like HDD, possibly heavy RAM) out and take as carry on luggage. Clear dust before all of this. Then fly.

Or take gaming laptop, and 24" screen in big suitcase. Once had a learner take a 22" screen as carry on luggage. It kinda fit into his bag.

I missed it last year as I tore my ACL and had the surgery a couple of weeks before I was meant to fly out.

I've done the first option (in a big suitcase) the year before and it worked fine, but I now have a bit more value sitting in the PC, which makes me even more worried (it was a big stress last time).

I actually sort of did the third option - i have a Micro ATX case now, but I don't think it is quite small enough to check in as hand luggage.

Other alternatives I'm currently considering are driving (expensive on fuel) and possibly looking to rent a PC (the prices I've seen on the few places that offer this for gaming PCs are prohibitive (R1740(!) a day for a gaming laptop.

Still got a bit of time to sort things out.

Last year was my first rage/lan. Was a blast. Definitely going to try make it again, recently upgraded my pc so now i too have flashy lights to blend in with everyone else. Ill be there provided the petrol worker strike is resolved by then. Slated for aug/sept... and seems like its going to be pretty hectic...
