I have a PC with a i7 2600 CPU and a Lga1155 Intel board. Weird thing is it only switches on after I pressed the power on button sever times, really random. I tried a different power supply. What can this be?

When it eventually turns on it runs perfectly

Its most likely a failing capacitor where it takes long to charge up. Had the same issue with an Intel 1155 motherboard but it would only happen when cold booting ( Maybe you have mine that i sold sometime ago lol). No way to fix this easily afaik.

If you want to fix it yourself i can sell you a donor board, board is dead but all caps and resistors seem to be fine when tested
